Ever since No Man's Sky was announced as an exclusive title for the PS4 and PC, fans have wondered about whether the game will feature support for the next big thing: Virtual Reality. 2016 is to be an historic year in the history of video games. VR is set to be unleashed upon the public and we can't wait to see how well the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Hololens and Playstation VR will sell.

Do you think these devices will succeed? How much are you prepared to spend on them to try out what could become the future of gaming? In any case, Sony have been hyping up their device for quite some time. In fact, Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida, had some interesting this to say about Playstation VR in a recent interview.

Does Yoshida Give Us Hope For No Man's Sky On Playstation VR?

Yoshida recently sat down with 4Gamer to talk about the future of the Playstation brand and what exactly 2016 would be bringing for fans of the PS4.

"2016 marks an unprecedented rush of big titles for PS4," Yoshida said. "It's also the year of the long-awaited launch of PlayStation VR. It's the year PS4 users, and those who are on the fence on whether to buy it will absolutely think, 'It's good to have a PS4.' Please look forward to it."

I love how Japanese gaming personalities always ask us to look forward to their products! We certainly are looking forward to the future of this company, but as The Game Awards showed us, [No Man's Sky](tag:2684052) is at the top of our list for 2016.

In an additional interview with Fortune, Yoshida gave us an insight into the surprises that lie ahead of us all:

"It's a completely new medium and the best of VR games will come out of nowhere, just as games on mobile or other new platforms like Facebook emerged," he said. "Hopefully, all of the game industry will develop on this new tech, but the most successful titles will be something that we never thought of in a new IP or a new game that's focused on great experiences using VR tech."

"Something we never thought of in a new IP," describes No Man's Sky to us pretty well.

Could No Man's Sky Get A PS4 VR Release Date?

No one can deny how perfect No Man's Sky would be for Playstation VR. Any space adventure would benefit from developing for this new technology! But has Sean Murray and his team at Hello Games been working on VR support for No Man's Sky? Do you think that 2016 could really hold this surprise in store for us all?
