When Robbie Amell's Ronnie Raymond was "killed" in The Flash's season 2 premiere, we didn't expect him to stay gone for long. The question wasn't, "when will we see him again", but "how"? Time travel, parallel Earths, the Lazarus Pit, there are so many options for bringing "dead" characters back in CW's DC Universe.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the next version of Ronnie Raymond that we'll see will be his Earth 2 doppleganger. And, like all good twins, this one is evil. You see, instead of the hero known as Firestorm, Earth 2 has a villain known as Deathstorm. This is a character that is already established in the comic books, with a scary look to match his name, so it will be interesting to see if the on-screen version lives up to that. Having seen how frightening the Zoom costume is this season, I think it's safe to say that Deathstorm's look is in good hands.

In a romantic twist that proves love conquers all ... or, perhaps, love conquers all puny mortals ... We can expect Earth 2's Ronnie Raymond to to be romantically linked to Earth 2's Caitlin Snow. As has been revealed in previews of upcoming episodes, Earth 2's Caitlin is the villain known as Killer Frost, who we've long waited to see after a brief tease in season one's finale. In the comics, Killer Frost's icy powers are derived from absorbing warmth from her surroundings, which would make her and Deathstorm quite the power couple ... I'm talking Brad & Angelina if they were super villains who could simultaneously burn you on the outside and freeze you on the inside.

Deathstorm adds one more reason in a very long list of things to be excited for in new episodes of The Flash, which begin January 19 on CW.
