Pop culture icon, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Mark Hamill, has confirmed that he will be joining another beloved franchise, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Although not a live action role, Hamill has announced via his personal twitter that he has been cast as the villain, Kavaxas, in the upcoming fourth season of Nickelodeon's acclaimed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated TV show.
With a menacing look, Hamill gave us our first look at the 'Demondragon from the Underworld.' It appears that Kavaxas will be quite the enemy for the shelled heroes, being described as 'a hotheaded dragon-man with mystical powers who partners with some of the Turtles’ worst foes to bring chaos to NYC.'
Although many fans will be disappointed that Mark Hamill hasn't ventured back into live action roles following the incredible success of The Force Awakens, the elderly Jedi is already well acquainted in the voice actor industry.
Mark Hamill has arguably became the quintessential Joker since he took on the role in 1992 in the animated Batman series, with a string of high profile vocal roles following after in series such as The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, Jonny Bravo and Avatar: The Last Airbender before exploding in popularity via the Arkham video game series.
The fourth season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles began airing on Nickelodeon on October 25, 2015 - Present. Turtlepedia wiki is reporting that Mark Hamill's episode will air as the first episode of season 5, at a date to be confirmed under the title Scroll of the Demodragon.
Mark Hamill can currently be seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, playing in theates everywhere now. Hamill reprises his role as Jedi hero Luke Skywalker, and is set to appear in episode 8 releasing May 26, 2017.
