Can you believe it was almost 11 years ago that we followed Tibby, Bridget, Lena and Carmen all around the world as they spent a summer apart, sharing a pair of jeans in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?! Crazy, right?

Despite the first film being released way back in 2005, the cast of the two Sisterhood films have proved many times that the bonds of friendship are only strengthened with the passage of time, and this week was no different!

Sisterhood star Blake Lively (Bridget) recently posted a snap of herself and fellow pants-wearer Amber Tamblyn (Tibby) hanging out together:

WHERE are my hands?!? #SisterWivesOfTheTravelingPants

But just when you thought this reunion between Tibby and Bridget couldn't get any cuter, wait until you hear why they were together: they were supporting their fellow sister, America Ferrera (Carmen) by watching her new NBC show Superstore!

Move over Taylor Swift, the original girl squad is back!

However, Lively and Tamblyn's reunion wasn't the only recent Sisterhood reunion. Just four days ago Tamblyn posted photos of herself bringing in the new year with America Ferrera!

Despite Blake Lively or Alexis Bledel (Lena) not being with the pair, Tamblyn was sure not to leave them out, sending out a couple of choice throwback snaps in tribute, firstly to Lively:

And then to Bledel:

Despite the second Sisterhood film being released way back in 2008, the films (which are based on the book series by Ann Brashares) still have a huge fan base, and America Ferrera even told People in November 2015 that a third film is still "very much in the works." The 31-year-old went on to talk about the book that the film could possibly be based on:

"There's a fifth book, and what's wonderful about it is, and the series to begin with, is that it's really raw and honest about friendship and how hard it can be and how it changes as you grow up."

Ferrera also added how much the original four girls loved each other and the series, saying "we are so proud of the work that we did together that it would be wonderful to come back at do another one." What do you guys think? It looks like the cast are as tight as ever — is it finally time for a third film in this beloved Sisterhood series?
