With just a few short months until the debut of Jon Favreau's live-action adaptation of the 1967 Disney classic The Jungle Book, we're itching to venture back into the jungle and are eagerly seeking out anything that will whet our appetites in the meantime.

Today, we finally got our wish! Disney is releasing a triptych (three-paneled) poster for the film, and we were lucky enough to snag a first look at the left side!

Feast your eyes upon the first of three brand new images from The Jungle Book.

The image shows King Louie like we've never seen him before. The orangutan king has been turned from a smooth crooner singing "I Wan'na Be Like You" into an imposing force to be reckoned with. There will be no monkeying around in this updated, gritty live-action adventure.

We also get a good look at the wily snake Kaa, voiced by Scarlett Johansson. After hearing her mellifluous and sultry tones highlighted in the trailer, I'm thinking she'll even be able to command the attention of King Louie.

The new king of the jungle will be brought back to life by the inimitable Christopher Walken, which promises to bring a whole new dynamic to a beloved character. If the movie is even half as epic as this awesome poster is, then The Jungle Book promises to be a unforgettable journey.

Be sure to check back in with us tomorrow for the second of the three images in the triptych poster.

Disney's The Jungle Book will be released in theaters starting April 15, 2016.
