"Hard hitting, unrelenting action," were my words upon previewing this romper stomper fighter! That's right, the world's ultimate fighting champions will come together once again in EA Sports beautifully crafted MMA fighter, UFC 2.

The long wait is over, following a thrilling and totally unpredictable year in the UFC, EA Sports have finally attached a release date to their cage fighting masterpiece. UFC 2 will release on March 15, 2016 in North America on Xbox One and PS4. Fighting fans elsewhere, (EU, AUS) will have to wait an extra day to get their fists of fury flying.

In addition to this release date, EA has also released a brand new, utterly barbaric cinematic trailer that showcases some of the world's biggest and best prize fighters.

EA isn't afraid to rile up the crowds; if you watch closely you will see some of last year's biggest upsets played out; watch as Ireland's Conor McGregor struts around the ring after knocking out Aldo, and fan favorite, Rhonda Rousey falls to Holly Holm.

EA also announced that there will be a bonus, pre-order package for UFC 2, including surprise fighters that are yet to be announced. Players that pre-order now will receive Bas Rutten and Kazushi Sakuraba as additional fighters as well as the 'mystery' fighter mentioned above.

"Adding them is huge, and fans are going to go nuts when we reveal who the mystery fighter is," Creative director, Brian Hayes - "I can't wait."

EA Sports UFC 2 is head and shoulders above the competition. The new game features an all new, totally overhauled fighting dynamic that allows players to quite literally feel the canvas shake and shudder as you attempt to choke out the opposition. Barely two weeks into the new year and we may very well be looking at the best fighting game of 2016.
