Spoilers ahead for The Force Awakens!
First off, I have been reading all sorts of rumors regarding the identity of Supreme Leader Snoke and I have my own theory. So far, the top choices seem to be either Darth Plagueis, or Darth Bane. Ever since Disney purchased LucasFilm they have developed their own Star War's Universe by throwing out almost all previous entries (except for television shows, and the movies).
For all intended purposes Darth Plagueis is Anakin's father, and I often wonder does Anakin's name basically means without family? I am veering off subject, and the point I am trying to make that was illuminated by Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith (I rather enjoyed this movie, the only one of the prequels) is that Plagueis can create force babies, by manipulating the Midi-chlorians. Andy Serkis has vehemently deny that Snoke is Darth Plagueis, and that he is a new character for the upcoming movies. I actually believe him, even with JJ Abrams abhorrent crime of hiding Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness (read with a hint of sarcasm). What I believe, keeping up with the Skywalkers , Supreme Leader Snoke is Anakin's brother (I would worry about the comments, but barely anyone will read this). He has a familiar bond with Kylo, and I am not sure if that truly matters. Spoilers!! Rey was not seduced by Kylo Ren at the end of The Force Awakens. This makes me wonder two things, either she is not related, or family has less of influence on one's choice of which side of the force they choose.
I have not heard any mention in previous articles of Darth Plagueis only being able to create only one force baby. In Revenge of the Sith, Sidious stated that he killed Plagueis. I would not care one bit, if Snoke turned out to be Plagueis, or Bane. In the Clone Wars animated series(canon), Bane appeared as a force ghost, speaking with Yoda. Lastly on this matter, I find it very difficult to believe any sort of a force ghost, could make an impact, the reveal would be too anticlimactic (where is the lightsaber dual?).
Furthermore, I have a read theory of Snoke being Kylo's future self, and that is not only wrong in the sense of lameness, but Serkis's interview with EW stated that Snoke is over seven-foot tall (Adam Driver is 6'2"). The main reason why I think this could be accurate, my theory works in the realm of previous statements, and I believe it to be somewhat shocking. I could be totally wrong, and I do believe that this theory could also be construed as somewhat anticlimactic, but at the same time if Plagueis created Snoke out of the force, then he would also fit the prophecy. The question I have been asking people is what does balance to the force actually means?
At the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey is wearing an odd color in the Star Wars universe, grey. What I have come to see in the movies are Jedi's wear light colors and the dark side wears black (Rey is wearing neutral). I do not believe for one second that this was not meant to stir suspicion. I could speculate that she is unsure of what side of the force she will wield, yet is bathing in only the light balanced? What if Snoke is the chosen one of the prophecy? By creating Kylo Ren, and forcing Rey to see where the dark side will lead you (He killed his father, enough said), and also Luke's tutelage on the light side giving Rey a vast array to choose from. If Rey chooses just to embrace the force, and ignore either side, and to understand with light comes darkness. Were the Siths created because the Jedi's were too stubborn to see any other way (I am just speculating)? In that sense, neither side stands correct, and they need a new direction.
All right, I admit this sounds a tad ludicrous (What is your fantatasy?its a song)! Finally, I believe Snoke is Anakin's brother on what has been said in recent interviews.I am unsure of how creating force babies work, but it could do with transferring some the force wielder's Midi-chlorians into said child. If this is the case, then I firmly believe in the theory I stated up above. Also, I believe that Rey wearing the color grey at the end of the movie, could suggest she is the most balanced character yet. Thank you for reading, and please feel free to disagree!
