Horror legend Vilmos Zsigmond passed away on New Year's Day 2016. The Oscar-winning Hungarian cinematographer was 85 when he died, with a long, successful career to look back upon.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind, De Palma's Blow Out, The Black Dahlia, Deer Hunter and Deliverance were all classic titles this talented chap worked on. Have you ever seen a better man vs wilderness horror than Deliverance?
Thank you for your service to film, Mr Zsigmond. RIP.
