Awesomeness is my goal.

The 21st century has been loaded with some great comedies and I've always found it difficult to pick my favorites. The website Movies, Films and Flix just took it upon themselves to figure out the statistical best by collecting 370 comedies and average out their IMDb user scores, Metacritic user/critic scores, and Rotten Tomatoes audience/critic scores. The results were very interesting and certain to annoy many people.

The following 10 films have the highest combined critic/audience scores. If you want to vote for the best comedy of the 21st century comedy head to Movies, Film and Flix and vote in their poll.

10. Hot Fuzz (2007)

Audience/ Critic Score - 85.6

Edgar Wright is one of my favorite directors and I think Hot Fuzz is one of the most rewatchable films of this century.

9. Shaun of the Dead (2004)

Critic/Audience Score - 85.6

Shaun of the Dead blends horror and comedy perfectly. It was cool seeing Edgar Wright have two films on the list.

8. The Man Without a Past (2002)

Critic/Audience Score - 85.8

The Man Without a Past is wickedly funny and if you haven't watched it I totally recommend you do.

7. The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

Critic/User Score - 86.2

Wes Anderson is my favorite director and I love every second of The Grand Budapest Hotel.

6. The Station Agent (2003)

Critic/User Score - 86.2

Tom McCarthy (Spotlight, Win Win) is a great director and The Station Agent is beautiful film. If you like Peter Dinklage in Game of Thrones you will love seeing a different side of him.

5. Her (2013)

Critic/User score - 86.4

Spike Jonze (Where the Wild Things Are, Being John Malkovich) is a brilliant director and Her is great romantic/comedy/drama.

4. Wild Tales (2014)

Critic/User Score - 86.6

This Oscar nominated film from Argentina is amazingly dark and comedic. It is a tough film but you will love it.

3. The Artist (2011)

Critic/User Score - 87

Movies don't get any more charming than The Artist and I love how it balances humor, emotion and great characters.

2. Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001)

Critic/User Score - 87

Hedwig and the Angry Inch knows how to rock and have a good time. It is a poignant film that is loaded with some very funny moments.

1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

Critic/User Score - 89.8

Charlie Kaufman is a brilliant writer and this film is wonderfully bonkers. It is an absurd love story/comedy that cannot be recreated or pegged into a genre.
