Eversince the tragic death of Allison Argent, all fans have been desperately BEGGING for her to come back. And it looks like Jeff Davis has answered our payers. Yep, you heard me correctly. CRYSTAL REED is FINALLY returning to Teen Wolf...after so, so long.

The wait, is finally over.

Unfortunately, THAT, is a no. She will not be returning as ALLISON Argent, but will instead be playing the role of the FIRST Argent, Marie Jeanne Vale, also known as the 'Maid of Gevaudan'. Besides, Crystal didn't have an interest in playing Allison again, out of respect as to how nobly she died.

Just like Allison, Marie-Jeanne Valet is another 'female warrior', who supposedly survived the beast's attack, which occurred in 1700's France. Yep, Reed's new character will be based WAY back in time!

“Allison had such an amazing end to her life, I feel like bringing her back in any way might tarnish that beautiful story,” - she told BuzzFeed News in a phone interview.

For one thing, she's a legend, for sure. Marie-Jeanne Valet was a young girl, who took on the 'Beast of Gevaudan' (The villain of this season!), and won, essentially. She had a spear by her side, and stabbed it in the creature, causing it to whimper in pain, and fall into the nearby river.

...The young woman plunged a homemade spear she had been carrying into its chest. Injured but not dead, the beast raised a paw to the injury, crying out loudly, and then rolled off into the waters of the river."

I think we should all take a moment to sincerely thank Jeff for being able to create a storyline in which we're able to have Crystal Reed return in.

“She was a peasant girl who had fashioned a bayonet onto a spear and was supposedly one of the first to survive an attack by the beast, Allison’s grandfather, Gerard Argent, recounts Valet’s story to Scott’s pack in hopes they can deduce the creature’s weaknesses." - Jeff Davis

Reed took it into her own hands to play around with her character a little, as in, to make her new character have some similarities to Allison, after all, they are family. Take the crossbow and arrow, for instance.

“There are little things I got to do with the character that Allison might have done — a little look or a gesture or the way she walks; I sort of made sure they were a little bit the same because they’re family after all,” Reed said.

Crystal also goes on to saying what else Marie and Allison share in common. One of them being, that, just like Allison, Marie Jeanne is a fighter for justice, for what is right.

“She shares that basic, intrinsic quality Allison had that was just pure kindness. She’s fighting for justice and for what’s right, and that’s something I think they have in common that people will love. It’s the hero and the bravery that gets us at the end of the day.”- Crystal Reed

You know what upset me most about her previous role in Teen Wolf? I, along with most of the teen wolf fandom, were really upset at the fact that Allison didn't get a funeral, yet, her mother did. And guess what? CRYSTAL thinks exactly the same, too.

"Allison was so close to me and a big bone of contention was that she never had a funeral. " - Reed told Buzzfeed.

Jeff Davis also talks about how thrilled he is, himself, to have an inspiration like Reed back on the Teen wolf sets!

"I think one of the great things Crystal does is she gives our viewers, especially our young female viewers, someone to look up to,” Davis said. Plus, he noted, “we also get to see her wielding a crossbow again!”

Nonetheless, whether this role is major in this season, or just a one-off appearance, there's no doubt that Crystal will definitely be re-opening the Argent history, for us. Who knows, it's possible in the future that Jeff could create a spin-off show, all about the Argents! Hmm....does 'Keeping Up With the Argents' sound good?

I'd TOTALLY watch a spin-off, if it ever happened! In-fact, Jeff even said that he'd be totally on board to do something like this. I guess I know what I want for christmas this year.

Are YOU thrilled for Crystal Reed's return?
