Fans of Arrow and The Flash know that characters often hop between shows, whether for full episodes, just as mentions, or as brief cameos in the interconnected series on the CW. While the full cast crossover episodes are incredible, it's these little touches that keep reminding fans that Flarrow (and the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow) aren't just linked shows, but a completely joined universe, where heroes actually help other heroes take down their biggest foes.

Next on the list to lend a helping hand to a superhero will be Diggle (David Ramsey), who revealed a Flash appearance with this Instagram photo earlier this week.

Now, have learned that Arrow's right hand man (and his wife, Lyla) will be heading to Central City to help Barry take down one of his recurring villains: King Shark.

The half-shark-half-human from Earth 2 has appeared twice since the start of Season 2, sent by Zoom to take down the fastest man alive, but he was defeated by Harrison Wells when he last showed up. Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg explains how the humanoid threat will be reappearing in the second half of the season.

The Diggles arrive in Central City to help Barry take on King Shark who has escaped from ARGUS and is hellbent on completing his mission of destroying The Flash.

The crossover is set for the 15th episode of the show, and while we don't know anything else about the plot, it's nice to know that Lyla will be getting some more screen time. King Shark, of course, is also a fan favorite, especially since the showrunners decide to keep him true to the comics, rather than making him more realistic as a villain. The only issue with this is that it's incredibly expensive, which is why we won't see him for more than a few seconds.

No matter how much screen time King Shark gets, it seems that this is going to be a fantastic episode in the second half of what is already a stellar second season for the superhero show.

The Flash returns on Jan 19th
