In a recent interview, Jesse Eisenberg revealed that he was originally in talks to play a different DC character. Although that ship has sailed, it made me wonder about other characters he would be good at portraying. Here is a list of 5 characters I think he would be a good choice for:

1. The Trickster

The Trickster is primarily a Flash villain, and was a circus acrobat named James Jesse who decided to become a criminal. I feel like Jesse Eisenberg's eccentric personality would play nicely for the Trickster, as long as he doesn't come off as a knock off of the Riddler from Batman: Forever.

James Jesse was recently played by Mark Hamill in the Flash, but that doesn't mean he couldn't be portrayed by a different actor in the DCCU

2. Nightwing

Everyone knows who Robin is, but not everyone knows that he went on to become a hero by the name of Nightwing. Although he wears a darker color scheme, he is still more optimistic than Batman and has a good sense of humor. Although he might not be the right build, I think that Eisenberg would do a good job with Nightwing's personality.

Although we have seen Dick Grayson before, we have not seen his transformation to Nightwing yet. I feel like he would be a great addition to the DCCU.

3. The Question

The Question started out as a investigative journalist by the name of Vic Sage, but that was in the Charlton Comic universe. Upon being brought into the DC universe, he became a vigilante more interested in corrupt politicians and high level criminals than the criminals most heroes went after.

And I feel that the Question could be interesting in a post Man of Steel/Batman V Superman world, where everyone knows about the brutal vigilante from Gotham or the Super Space Alien from Metropolis. Portrayed as a eccentric journalist who decides to go after the criminals the Justice League are too busy to focus on, Jesse Eisenberg can really make the role his own.

4. The Flash:

The Flash has gone through a couple iterations throughout his history, but the two most popular are Wally West and Barry Allen. Both of which are highly intelligent and witty, traits that Jesse Eisenberg has used in his most famous roles. There isn't much else to say here.

5. The Riddler

The Riddler is a man named Edward Nigma who is obsessed with trying to prove his intellectual superiority. He is very intelligent, but also very egotistical. For the most part he faces Batman, because the World's Greatest Detective is the most intelligent hero who is readily available to fight him.

Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor already is quite a bit like the Riddler from what we have seen of him in the trailers. He just needs to use some big words and start telling riddles. The Riddler would be no problem for him at this stage in his career.
