Forever. End of article.

I'm only "Joshing" with you, but if I had my way this show would run for life, I'm that addicted. But fans of the show everywhere have been asking "Just how long can the show continue?", and this morning came fantastic news as I searched google for all thing Walking Dead related.

The midseason premiere for season 6 of The Walking Dead on February 14, 2016, on AMC. In a recent interview with Vulture, they sat down with top AMC executives to get the answer (along with other questions and answers, naturally). As it turns out, the answer to that question could easily be summed up in one word, and that word is: Indefinitely.

Yay!! here's to forever!
Yay!! here's to forever!

After I managed to calm myself down from this little revelation, I managed to navigate myself through the web, to find the interview myself. Here's what Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development at AMC had to say:

“The answer to how long the show will go on in some way is directly correlated with the health of the storytelling in the comics. Those comics are firing on all cylinders. [Robert Kirkman] still writes every line of dialogue in those books, and is as engaged as he was when I think he was sitting around in Kentucky writing the first issue. That is very much part of the DNA of the show. He sort of felt like, in real life, this goes on for a very long time. We’re along for that ride.”
Safety in numbers.

AMC president Charlie Collier, then added:

“I will tell you we are not actively talking about the end of ‘The Walking Dead. We’re talking about how to keep this No. 1 show on television feeling as fresh as it does in season six. As a brand, we’re very sensitive to making sure that every aspect of it feels fresh and original, and that it’s not treated in any way that’s derivative or taken for granted. Our planning is current and future-focused, and it is not focused on the end at this time.”
Expect to see "most" of these faces for a long time

So there we have it fans. There are no plans to slow or stop this rolling juggernaut of a show for the foreseeable future (thank God).

The entire Walking Dead cast will return on February 14th 2016, along with a few newbies and the much anticipated arrival of a certain big bad villain. The one and only Negan, played by the tremendously talented, Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
