It's Batmobile vs Superman in this new Dawn of Justice TV spot, and predictably Bruce Wayne's custom wheels don't fare too well against the Man of Steel. With only a few more months to go before the Earth-shattering hero v hero epic is finally released, DC has started rolling out Batman v Superman TV ads, and there are little hints contained in each one. Check it out!

So what did we learn from this trailer? There's actually a lot to be gleaned if we take into account what we already know...

The Batmobile Is Totally Badass

Ok, so the hit-and-run attempt at defeating Superman may have failed (seriously Bruce, did you really think that would work?) but at least we got a closer look at the all new, totally awesome Batmobile.

The epic new Batmobile
The epic new Batmobile

To steal a phrase from another franchise: if you're going to build a symbol into a car, why not do it with some style? And this Batmobile has style coming out of its pistons. But what do we actually know about the machine? Zack Snyder recently waxed lyrical about Bruce's pet project...

"The new Batmobile is super fast. It’s purpose built, which I like. We imagine that Batman built it over time, you know, with parts from Wayne Industries or something. He’s made it specifically for the job of fighting crime."

If it's purpose built to fight crime, there's no doubt the new Batmobile will have plenty of gadgets and weapons just waiting to deploy. Here's hoping Superman didn't totally total it in that fender bender.

Shit's About To Get Real

Yup that's right, this little snippet seems to come right before the epic fight between Batman and Superman... but is Superman trying to avoid the battle?

Superman holds back in the fight against Batman

"Stay down! If I wanted it, you'd be dead already."

We heard Superman deliver this warning in the third [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) trailer (watch here), and as Superman flies away from Batman's challenge in this new TV spot, it seems as though he might be trying his hardest to avoid this battle. This is probably because he doesn't want to kill Batman — although he definitely has problems with the Caped Crusader's methods, Superman also has a strong moral mandate not to kill people. Uh... apart from when he kills people.

Zod's definitely dead... until Doomsday

But megalomaniacal Kryptonians is one thing. Batman's just a human trying to be a hero and although Clark doesn't agree with his methods, if this TV spot proves nothing else it's that Superman still has a moral center.

Superman's REAL Kryptonite: He's Too Nice

Trying to avoid killing Bruce might actually be Superman's biggest weakness. At least, Snyder seems to think so...

“The advantage that Batman has is the goodness of Superman, the compliance to fair play that Superman has… Batman knows how to exploit Superman.”

With Batman delivering ominous threats in this new TV spot, it certainly seems as though Bruce is ready to go full Dark Knight as he tries to take down Superman.

"You will."
"You will."

Is Batman prepared to actually kill Superman, if it comes down to it? It seems unthinkable that a human would be able to defeat a Kryptonian, but if Batman has something like, say, a kryptonite laced suit (as the rumors suggest), Bruce might be faced with his own moral dilemma about this.

Bonus: Superman's Really Creeped Out By Batman Asking About His Blood

And who could blame him.

No Bruce you can't have my blood omg
No Bruce you can't have my blood omg

Am I the only one who thinks "do you bleed? You will." is just a really poor attempt at badass dialogue? Well, at least Superman also thinks it's weird.

Not Really Bonus: Still No Wonder Woman?!

Come on DC. We wanna see the Amazon warrior kick some butt already! Is that too much to ask?

Give us more Wonder Woman (pretty please?!)
Give us more Wonder Woman (pretty please?!)

So far we've only seen tiny snippets of Diana Prince in Dawn Of Justice, which might be because the nature of her role could spoil an important plot point. But she's definitely in the big fight against Doomsday, so hopefully future TV spots will show us a bit more of Wonder Woman joining the fray.
