Marvel may be the king of superhero films at this point in time, but one thing that DC has always had the upper hand on is animated features. Particularly the animated Batman films. These films have been subject to such critical acclaim over the years and mainly due in part to Mark Hamill's excellent work as the definitive Joker and Kevin Conroy's dark yet pleasing work as Batman.
With the Batman animated films being some of my favorite things to watch, when news broke of DC developing an animated feature that revolved around the famed 'Killing Joke' storyline I immediately became interested. There were reports however that suggested that our favorites, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy, would not be returning for their famed voice roles.
This came as a grave disappointment to fans everywhere but Kevin Conroy's recent Twitter post may have just shed new light on the issue!
Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are doing 'The Killing Joke' after all?
Kevin Conroy has supplied us fans with hope after his recent Twitter post suggesting that he and Mark Hamill will return to the roles that they made iconic.
The Bat nabs Joker! This is very 'Killing Joke-esque.' The chemistry that these two have by way of their voices is one that is truly special. If anything can put a Batman animated feature over the top it is the supreme work of these two guys.
With Batman: The Killing Joke set to premier during this Summer's San Diego Comic-Con, fans can expect our two favorite voice actors to be back in action like never before!
