Warning! This article may contain spoilers for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'! Read At your own risk!
This is merely speculation on the history of the Skywalkers' and not factual!
Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens was exactly what most fans expected, it was a tribute to the original trilogy but managed to be great in it's own unique way. With a slew of new characters including Finn, Rey, Poe Dameron and the widely popular Kylo Ren, surprisingly one character in particular is garnering most of the discussions.
Andy Serkis's mysterious character Supreme Leader Snoke is the character that is getting most of the discussion due to speculation that he is actually the famed Darth Plagueis. While Serkis himself has denied this, the possibility is still there. If he does turn out to be Darth Plagueis, I believe that it could open up and interesting storyline opportunity that explains the true history of the Skywalker bloodline.
Darth Plagueis is the man behind the Skywalkers?
Darth Plagueis is perhaps the most powerful force user in history! He has been able to manipulate midi-chlorians, which are cells that the Force is able to communicate with in order to grant force abilities, to achieve immortality. Along with the ability to achieve immortality, midi-chlorians are also able to create a child which would be the truest sense of the Force. If you look at the history of the Skywalkers, one could easily suggest that Darth Plagueis manipulated the midi-chlorians to create the Skywalker bloodline and use the for evil! Sounds crazy? Hear me out!
Anakin Skywalker was born from Midi-chlorians
Anakin Skywalker is known to be born from midi-chlorians. His mother, Shmi Skywalker described it as a miraculous birth as she was a virgin. A child born from the midi-chlorians will have Force abilities that far outweigh anyone born of natural birth. The Skywalker's are famous for being the most powerful Force users ever, so could it be possible that Darth Plagueis and Palpatine manipulated midi-chlorians to create this powerful bloodline in an attempt to take over the Galaxy? It's definitely possible.
This is why Palpatine recruited Anakin
In Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker is of course courted by Emperor Palpatine to the Dark Side as his partner and apprentice. Together it looks as if they could rule the galaxy and this is exactly what Darth Plagueis's plan was.
The theory isn't too far fetched!
I know exactly what you're saying, but I really think that this is a plausible theory and one that could be implemented into the new trilogy of films moving forward. I believe that they could go with a similar storyline to this. Finally get an explanation as to why Anakin was born from the Force and reveal if it was all part of a bigger plan. I think that this is a theory we should not brush aside and something we should actually take seriously!
