I have been reading comics since before I could read. When I learned how to read, they became significantly better.

The newest superhero show to hit our screens, Supergirl has been delivering some excellent content and look to be adding something even more spectacular.

It was recently reported that Laura Vandervoort, who played Supergirl in Smallville, is set to appear in an episode of Supergirl. She is reportedly playing a villain, which generally leads to the assumption of Bizarro Supergirl or an Earth 3 Supergirl, but that doesn't look to be the case.

The villain is an original character by the name of Indigo and has been described as "a living, strong-willed supercomputer that was sentenced to Fort Rozz after turning against the people of Krypton". While she could be a totally original character, she could also probably be a spin on a classic Superman villain:

Cyborg Superman

Cyborg Superman has been two different people:

One (and arguably the more important and iconic of the two, given his richer and longer history) was Hank Henshaw, whose abilities are pretty much that of a "living...supercomputer", and who looks a lot like Superman. A Supergirl equivalent would be pretty much what has been described of Indigo. Hank Henshaw has already been set up and knowing how the Berlanti shows work, an allusion like that is enough to mean that Cyborg Superman, or at least a stand-in, is coming.

The second was Zor-El (Supergirl's father). This Cyborg Supergirl could be a failed project of the actual Zor-El or even another relative. Given his connections to Brainiac, this could lead to an excellent season 1 Big Bad as well.

So what do you think? Is Cyborg Supergirl coming to Supergirl? Let's talk about it in the comments!

Thanks for reading!
