Pretty much a fan of all but if you come at me with horror I have a salt shaker and an iron rod and I'm not afraid to use them :D

You may or may not know this but it has been almost 11 years since we, the audience, were lucky enough to first walk through that magic wardrobe with Lucy to Narnia via the big screen. Over the next decade we were, once again swept away with the Pevensie children and their wonderfully enthralling adventures in Narnia. In 2005 we took those first faithful steps into Narnia, in 2008 we fought besides the brave Prince Caspian as he tried to reclaim his throne, in 2010 we travelled upon the Dawn Treader to lands only Aslan himself knew about and now, it seems, we might be returning to Narnia once again.

It was in late 2013 that Mark Gordon, the producer of the upcoming 'Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders', acquired the rights of the fourth instalment of the 'Chronicles of Narnia' series, 'The silver chair' and it was revealed only last year that the first draft of this film had already been written by David Magee (best known for creating the screenplay of 'The Life of Pi') and it seems that, at last, this new film is now in active development and, according to Gordon, production may begin in the near future.

Gordon further explains how Narnia may be undergoing a form of rebirth. For this upcoming film, although it is technically a sequel to 'The Journey of the Dawn Treader' , 'The Silver Chair' will be a film all for itself. Gordon states that:

“No, it’s all going to be a brand new franchise. All original. All original characters, different directors, and an entire new team that this is coming from.”

Yes, you read that right, although it is presumed that the characters of some of the Pevensie children will be making some form of appearance (after all, it wouldn't be Narnia without them) it appears that 'The Silver Chair' will be accompanied by an all new cast.

It seems that, although this may not be the sequel fans of C.S Lewis's bestselling series may have been expecting, Narnia will be finally emerging from the frosty depths it has been hiding in for the last couple of years to captivate a new generation of fans which will be lucky enough to finally enter the beautifully, magical world of Narnia. This is truly an exciting time to be a moviegoer!

Should they continue "The Chronicles of Narnia" film series?
