Agent Carter's showrunners, Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, recently spoke with CBR about how Agent Carter will connect with Doctor Strange with something called 'Darkforce' - it is a type of negative energy found in the Marvel Universe. Michele and Tara elaborates....

“You’ll learn more about that in Season 2, but they stumble upon what people in the Marvel Universe will know as Darkforce, but because they’ve never seen it before they just name it Zero Matter. That’s our tie-in to the ‘Doctor Strange’ universe, and also to ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ because you’ve seen it in ‘S.H.I.E.L.D. as well.”

After recent comments made about the Dark Dimension (not Darkforce- Kevin Feige let this slip in an interview) my expectations are sky-high for Doctor Strange. Our favorite psychopath, Mads Mikkelsen, could be playing big bad Dormmamu!

Is this a sign that Marvel Studios is working with Marvel Television? Maybe, Christopher Markus and Steven McFeely (writers of Captain America: The First Avenger, The Winter Soldier, Civil War, Thor: The Dark World) help developed Agent Carter. We can always dream as Avengers: Infinity War approaches!

That connection with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, can be found in 'The Only Light in the Darkness' (S1, Ep19), Marcus Daniels aka 'Blackout', when he fought the team. Darkforce absorbs all the light in our dimension, and a few other unsavory things.

Agent Carter premieres on January 19 on ABC and Dr. Strange hits theaters on November 4th.
