The highly anticipated Deadpool film starring Ryan Reynolds is just one month away and has been killing it in the marketing department with some great trailers, posters and viral marketing. We knew for a long time that the production was aiming for an R rating, to give fans what they really want when it comes to the violence and bad language that is a staple of the Deadpool character.
The film has been screened for the MPAA and has been given an official R rating, for "strong violence and language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity."
So the trailers weren't fooling us, this is going to be a very violent and bloody superhero film with a lot of bad language and surprisingly a lot of sex and nudity. Last year Fifty Shades Of Grey opened on the same weekend with a similar rating description minus the strong violence. We saw this shot in the trailer, but expect either that seen to be very graphic or a lot more scenes like it.
Deadpool opens on February 12th.
