There are many movies coming out this year. Some blockbuster and others many pray are good ( yes I'm in fear one of them is gonna pull a Fantastic Four reboot flop) so to get started here are my top 10 anticipated movies of 2016. Mind you this is only a small handful.

1. Batman VS. Superman Dawn of Justice

Coming out March 25th is what I'm confident will kill the box office like Star Wars did. All we know is it takes place 5 years after Man of Steel and at firsts was skeptic Ben Afleck wouldn't be the top ideal batman for this movie ever since daredevil back in 2002 I believe but seeing him in the suit and as Bruce Wayne I have to say, I'm impressed. Jessie Eisenberg makes the kind of lex Luthor we need and deserve. If you want to know why look at The social network movie and you'll see. Yes I know the last trailer we saw gave too much but thanks to Zack Snyder we know that the doomsday we saw was (like apocalypse) is still evolving so I'm not worried. There will be references to Batman TDKR from Frank Miller so get ready crusaders.

2. Deadpool

With great power comes great irresponsibility. Which in this case is true. Coming out in less than 30 days is the movie like many would hope to be the redemption that is Ryan Reynolds as the merc with the mouth, honestly this Deadpool is WAY better and true to the source material than in X-Men origins: Wolverine. Just sayin, from what I know, the story so far is that Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is diagnosed with cancer, so to save him the government (aka weapon X possibly) brings him on a project that turns him to anti hero we know today then his girlfriend gets kidnapped and wade Wilson at this point becomes Deadpool.

Oh did I mention they're bringing in colossus and a mutant (I'm dubbing to make it simple for me) called teenage warhead to investigate and is gonna be good. So be ready for some action, romance, comedy, and fourth wall moments.

3. Captain America: Civil War

If you've seen the first two Captain America movies including Antman then you're ready for this. Captain America: Civil War will be based off of some if not most of the aspects of the civil war novel which takes place after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, this introduces the Superhero Registration Act and pits between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Ironman (Robert Downey Jr.) against each other especially when Steve is fighting for bucky's innocence which brings in Black panther (reasons why are unknown but it's possible something happened in wakanda and Bucky is the target) and he looks amazing. Most avengers like War Machine, Black Widow, Falcon, and Hawkeye will be there including a surprise appearance by spiderman (Tom Holland). So to all true believers this ones for you.

4. The Suicide Squad

If you thought one DC movie wasn't enough then you're crazy. Coming in August is the Suicide Squad which is with continuity with batman v superman. A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency and yes with Harley Quinn in the squad you can bet HE is gonna be there with a smile. The cast has those like Viola Davis ( Amanda Waller) from H.T.G.A.W.M. from abc, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) from The Wolf of Walstreet, Jaret Leto (The Joker) from Dallas Buyers Club and yes Will Smith (Deadshot) from The Fresh Prince of Belair. I wasn't sure about Jared Leto as the joker but I see as I kept in touch that his is not going to be like all others, because is a combination of each of the joker we've seen in the past.

5. X-Men: Apocalypse

Coming out May 27th is yet another installment to the X-men series, and sadly no Wolverine. X- men apocalypse takes place this time in the 80s and will bring back some mutants like Magneto ( Michael Fassbender), and Professor X ( James McAvoy), Mistique ( Jennifer Lawrence) as well as introduce new mutants ( new to the screen) like Jubilee ( Lana Condor), and Psylock ( Olivia Munn). What we know is that the first mutant Apocalypse plans to bring humanity to extinction and its up to the X-Men to stop him. Trailer looks good, Apocalypse looks great, no worries it's not the end of the world......not yet anyway *cough*.

6. Assassin's Creed

It's a bit of a wait but it'll totally be worth it and I pray it does justice where other video game movies failed. Not only does Michael Fassbender said to be producing it but he's acting in it as well. Not sure if it's canon to the series but what we know is that When Callum Lynch explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar (The newest Assassin) and gains the skills of a Master Assassin, he discovers he is a descendant of the secret society that is The Assassins. This was from production according to IMDb. So yeah let's see how this one favors.

7. Doctor Strange

Yes it is happening true believers, Bennedict Cumberbatch (known well for his role as Sherlock on BBC) is playing the role as the sorcerer supreme. All we need to know is that by thanksgiving, people young and old will see the beginnings of a famous surgeon turn into one of the most powerful sorcerers in the MCU.

8. TMNT 2

Coming out this summer is the next installment of the heroes in a half shell. But this time they deal with a new threat from T.C.R.I. known as Dr. Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) with the association of the Foot Clan and the return of their enemy, the Shredder(Brian Tee) who has hired Stockman to create mutants of their own in the form of Bebop(Gary Anthony-Williams) and Rocksteady( Stephen "Sheamus" Farlley) and an unknown invasion above New York City. To prevent the end of the world, the turtles and their human friends April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) come to the aid with vigilante Casey Jones (Stphen Amell). Now I will be honest when I say the only reason why I'm seeing this is because of Stephen Amell, he's mostly known for his role as Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow on the CW Arrow. But hey I digress, so we'll see how is does.

9. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Just when you think we've seen the last of magic you're wrong. The adventures of writer Newt Scamander ( Eddie Redmayne) in New York's secret community of witches and wizards takes place seventy years before Harry Potter enrolls into school. Based on the novel by none other than J.K. Rowling, the movie is set to be released on November 18th. So what does this mean, will we see a younger Dumbledore? Will this come ties to Harry Potter's family? Guess we'll have to enroll for the fall semester to find out.

10. IP Man 3

I just got done watching the first one on Netflix and I have to say IP Man is amazing stuff, especially if you're into martial arts genre. As for this installment a band of brutal gangsters led by a crooked property developer (Mike Tyson) makes a play to take over the city, Master Ip(Donnie Yen) is forced to take a stand. Now I've only seen the teaser trailer but I can tell some serious sh**t is gonna go down. Since comes out to the USA in January 22nd (next week) this'll give me enough time to binge watch the sequels.

So with this I end this blog on a high note and say 2016 is a good time to be a nerd lol.
