After the news that George Miller wouldn't be doing any more Mad Max films, fans were very shocked and surprised after knowing. Fans wouldn't imagine the post-apocalyptic wasteland without the brilliant and masterful director at the helm.
But now there's word that Miller isn't perhaps done with the Mad Max franchise. Miller isn't finished being a director even after the long and hard process it took to shoot Fury Road. Miller indeed needs a break before wanting to shoot another sequel.
Thanks to The Wrap Miller was mistakenly misquoted when it was reported that Miller wouldn't make any more Mad Max films, and the conversation between him an another reporter was "garbled" and what came out was all untrue. Miller was asked about the interview and he explained in great detail about the interview to clarify.
“That was a completely garbled interview. I was in New York and it was so noisy and the journalist was asking me questions on a red carpet at the National Board of Review. She completely got the wrong fragments of information that were just not true. I said no, [another Mad Max movie] will not be next, and she took that to mean I never wanted to make another Mad Max. It won’t necessarily be next, but I have two more stories.”
Now fans know the truth from the director himself, and clears this once and for all. Miller will try to make other movies now before he returns to the Mad Max franchise. But we will see if he will return to give control of the franchise to another director.
But for now, expect to see another Babe and Happy Feet film to be release by Miller before then.
Mad Max: Fury Road is currently available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
