So, it has been a few weeks since I last saw TFA. So i'm taking the time now to reflect on it. ****DISCLAIMER**** I'm not qualified to review this movie by any sort of standard. I am just someone who likes to watch movies from time to time and who also is very bored at the moment.
WAS IT A GOOD MOVIE?
Yes!!!! A thousands times yes! I think that it was a very good movie. It had great plot, great shots, but most of all it had great characters. These honestly are the best Characters that we've got out of a Star Wars movie yet. The thing that made them work so well was their humor. I"m not saying that the other movies didn't have funny moments and funny characters. I'm just saying that the humor in this movie was more natural. They didn't just throw in a single character for comic relief, they all just acted human and let humor come about how it would in any other movie.
What could have made it better?
Two words. JAR JAR! (admit it, everyone loves some Jar Jar.) I'm not saying that he should have been the Sith, I'm not even saying that he should have had any lines, I just wanted a quick little Jar Jar cameo where he's standing in the background somewhere. That was all I wanted out of him. I'm still holding out hope for episode 8 and 9. If not those movies there's still the spin-offs. Either way I would like to see Jar Jar once more even though I know it'll never happen.
Was it the best movie of all time?
I have heard a lot of people say that TFA is the greatest movie of all time. I've heard a lot of people talk about how it's better than all of the other Star Wars movies. In fact when I first saw it, I said both those things. But like I said, it's been a few weeks. I've had time to look back at the movie and reflect. So here is where I stand. No, it's not in my unqualified, Jar Jar loving opinion the best movie of all time. It's up there but there's just too many other great movies. Now, that being said I do believe that it is the greatest Star Wars movie. It blended the Original episodes with the good parts of the prequels and with the J.J. touch to create an epic viewing pleasure.
So there is my unqualified opinion.
