After the passing of the renowned Alan Rickman on January 14, 2016, people across the globe were in a state of mourning.

The veteran actor passed away at the age of 69 from cancer, in his home city of London, leaving behind his family and friends, who continue to pay tribute and honor his legacy.

Despite his untimely death, Rickman was working hard in his final years and has left us with two final films that are set to premiere this year: Eye In The Sky and Alice Through The Looking Glass.

It's rare that we can see a beloved actor in a new movie after their death, so we should all consider this as one final gift from Rickman to his legions of adoring fans. Have a look below at the trailers and synopses for Alan Rickman's two final films... brace yourself, there are whole new levels of feels awaiting you.

As I haven't seen the movie, I'll rely on the lovely people over at IMDB for the summary of Eye in the Sky, scheduled for release on March 11, 2016:

"EYE IN THE SKY stars Helen Mirren as Colonel Katherine Powell, a UK-based military officer in command of a top secret drone operation to capture terrorists in Kenya.
Through remote surveillance and on-the-ground intel, Powell discovers the targets are planning a suicide bombing and the mission escalates from "capture" to "kill."
But as American pilot Steve Watts (Aaron Paul) is about to engage, a nine-year old girl enters the kill zone triggering an international dispute, reaching the highest levels of US and British government, over the moral, political, and personal implications of modern warfare."

Have a look at the trailer for Eye in the Sky; unsurprisingly, it looks absolutely fantastic.

2. Alice Through The Looking Glass

Alice Through The Looking Glass is due for release May 27, 2016; let's turn to IMDB once more:

"When Alice wakes up in Wonderland she must travel through a mysterious new world to retrieve a magical scepter that can stop the evil Lord of Time before he turns forward the clock and turns Wonderland into a barren, lifeless old world. With the help of some new friends, Alice must also uncover an evil plot to put the Queen of Hearts back on the throne."

Alan's role in Alice Through The Looking Glass is unlikely to be as prolific as in Eye In The Sky, but he'll undoubtedly bring his characteristic authority and sophistication to the role. Have a look at the trailer below:

If you want to say a final goodbye to incredible actor and extraordinary person, Alan Rickman, then Eye in the Sky and Alice Through the Looking Glass are definitely for you.

Countless people expressed their respect for Alan and offered their condolences to his family. Were you one of them?

R.I.P. Alan Rickman, truly one of the finest actors to come out of the U.K.
