Batman fans worldwide are in for a very special treat this new year. Rocksteady has stated that they will be dropping a whole heap of free downloadable content this month.

Simply can't wait until Dawn of justice? Fear not, Rocksteady has you covered. Rocksteady is saturating January with enough Batman content to tie over even the most hardcore of superhero fans.

The free DLC to be released will be the Crime Fighter Challenge Pack 6, formally known as the Community Challenge Pack. This will contain mostly remastered sequences from the older games reproduced with added content and in stunning HD.

Players will be able to suit up and dive back into six new challenge maps from Arkham City and Arkham Asylum. The DLC will also integrate an 'endless' Predator Mode challenge. You’ll also find a seventh AR challenge in the pack: Endless Knight.

“We’ve been listening to you guys and one of the most interesting ideas the community has had is for an endless survival predator map. We made a prototype and ended up really liking it, so we’re bringing it to you in January.” - Rocksteady

These are the maps you can expect to be included:

  • Wayne Manor Main Hall (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Batcave (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Sanatorium, Medical Facility (Batman: Arkham Asylum
  • Iceberg Lounge (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Crime Alley (Batman: Arkham Knight)
  • Monarch Theatre (Batman: Arkham City)
"We can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on the remastered maps." - Coda, Arkham community manager

Not only will we be getting new content but Rocksteady will also be dropping a new skin for Batty to jump into. The one with the belt! The iconic “Batman Incorporated” suit will be available next week. Fans will remember that this particular outfit hails from the Grant Morris adaptation of the comic book series.

These locations included in the new DLC have been chosen from a pool of 800 fan chosen locations. A tough call for the dev team over at Rocksteady but they managed to settle on following with Wayne Manor and Monarch Theater acting as the main site locations.

The new Arkham Knight DLC pack releases free on Xbox One, PS4 and PC starting on the 19th.
