Yesterday, a trailer for the second half of Star Wars Rebels season 2 hit the internet. The trailer is jam-packed with many things to be excited for! There are many implied things in the trailer, connecting it to the larger Star Wars universe. Here I will tell you everything I noticed that may be huge for the rest of the season . . . and series! But first check it out:

Wasn't that amazing! This trailer made me respect Rebels so much more, because so far I haven't been that impressed with the series as a whole. But there are many things hidden in this trailer. I have noticed many, but probably missed as many, so if I miss some, please let me know! So, let's get started!

Darth Maul

Darth Maul in Season 2 of Rebels?

There is no point in arguing. This was the best part of the trailer. You can see Ezra holding a holocron, which can be seen in the trailer again, and a voiceover saying "You seek knowledge. Call me . . . Old Master." Then there is the reveal of what looks exactly like Darth Maul. I am not convinced though, that the voice we heard was Maul. To me, it did not sound like Sam Witwer, who voices him (although voice actors can do different voices), and he sounded much older than he is. And when Maul is visible, his mouth is not moving, but a voice can be heard. I am open to the possibility that the voice that's heard is Supreme Leader Snoke from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, or Darth Maul is Snoke. But I'm not completely convinced on either of these, so hold your horses. But, this is sure to be the best part of the season, at least in my opinion, and I'm very excited.

The Death of Zeb/Zeb's Revenge

Season 1: Zeb vs. Kallus
Season 1: Zeb vs. Kallus

At about 1:47, you can see Zeb holding something and a light that keeps getting brighter. It's slim, but I think it's possible that this is hinting and the death of Zeb. I'm not sure they would even kill a main character for the show, but they might. At 2:40, you can see Agent Kallus pointing his gun at Zeb on a snowy planet. I think if the last scene I mentioned means nothing, this one might. I think that either Zeb or Kallus might die. Zeb would get his revenge for Kallus, who killed many of his species, the Lasat; and Kallus would finally get to kill one of the last of the Lasat.

Darth Vader's Return

It may have been confirmed a little while ago that Vader was returning, but I'm not sure. Last time we saw him, though, and I could be wrong, he fought the crew of the Ghost but failed in doing any kind of damage, then he sent the Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister to hunt them down. Now it seems he'll be returning, and he will fight Ezra and Ahsoka.

Yoda

At 1:25, you see Ezra talking to Yoda. This is likely Yoda talking to Ezra through the Force. This is not too much of a surprise, because it was announced that Yoda would appear in seasons 2 not too long ago, but this is still a very cool addition to the season.

The Hologram of Anakin Skywalker and Matt Lanter's Return

At 1:53, Ezra and Ahsoka are watching a hologram being projected through what looks like a holocron, which we have seen before in The Clone Wars. At 2:44, Ahsoka is having a Force vision, or what looks like a Force vision. She can hear what sounds like the great voice actor Matt Lanter saying "Ahsoka, why did you leave? Do you know, what I've become?" After that Ahsoka starts crying and she swings her lightsaber out of hate and sadness. The main reason I like these scenes, is because it connects Rebels to The Clone Wars by showing Anakin from that time period, and Matt Lanter returning to provide the voice of Anakin.

Cham Syndulla

Cham Syndulla first appeared in The Clone Wars fighting for the freedom of his people on Ryloth against the Separatists. In the 2015 canon novel, Lords of the Sith, Cham Syndulla appeared again. He was still fighting for the freedom of his people, but this time against the Empire. Now, it seems he will be joining his daughter Hera, and the crew of the Ghost for a bit. Having Cham in this season will probably reveal a little more of Hera's backstory, which fans have wanted for a long time.

A 3rd Inquisitor

Jedi and Inquisitor Standoff

At 1:10, there is a standoff: Ahsoka, Kanan, and Ezra, vs. the Seventh Sister, Fifth Brother, and . . . a 3rd Inquisitor? Unless I missed something from the beginning of the season, that looks like a new Inquisitor. I haven't seen this person, and I am expecting a great introduction. The armor on this character (who looks like a female), is very cool. I am excited to see who this character is, and much more of her.

Princess Leia

Starting at 0:43 to 0:56, Leia is introduced as the cool character she is, then gives a small speech to Ezra about fighting in the war. This one wasn't a surprise, because earlier this week it was announced that Leia would be appearing. She will be a great character to include to tie the show into the Original trilogy, and I'm very excited, although, I do not like the voice.

Mandalorians

At 2:59, for a brief moment two Mandalorians are visible. I am not expecting them to have a big role. I expect them to be in one or two episodes, and be in a Sabine arc. It is possible, though, that they will have a huge arc. Since Darth Maul is (probably) in this season, the Mandalorians could be with him. The last time we saw Maul, he was with Death Watch and the Mandalorians, so it's possible they'll all have a big arc this season.

The Knights of Ren/Jedi Temple Guards

Jedi Sentinels at a Jedi temple

It looks like the Jedi Temple Guards will be playing a bigger role in the future. These suits and lightsabers these people have, are almost the exact same thing the Guards had. I am now guessing that the Jedi Temple Guards are the Knights of Ren. I think it makes sense, and it makes perfect sense. This is sure to be a great arc for the series, and it looks very promising.

Ahsoka vs. Darth Vader

This isn't much, but at the end of the trailer Ahsoka and Darth Vader are seen fighting. Many fans have wanted this ever since the introductions of Vader and Ahsoka on the series, and it looks like we'll finally get to see that. The outcome, I believe, is going to be very sad. I think that Vader is going to kill his old apprentice. As sad as this is, it makes sense, and I think it needs to happen.

Kylo Ren's Lightsaber

This is also one of the biggest moments in the trailer. Ezra is seen holding a lightsaber that is the same design of Kylo Ren's in Episode 7. The only difference is: it's green. I think there are two possible answers to this. One: the crystal is green, then when Kylo Ren or Snoke gets it they change it to a red crystal. Two: the blade's color could have been edited for this trailer. Maybe in the final version, it will actually be red. Although, I don't see why they would need to do that, because we pretty much know that this is Kylo's lightsaber.

That was everything important I spotted in the trailer. Sorry it was so long, but I noticed a lot and had something to say about all of it! The rest of the season is going to be full of exciting new things, and is sure to be amazing!
