On January 14, 2016, English actor Alan Rickman died aged 69 due to cancer. Harry Potter fans are devastated, along with many of the cast. In return for the loss of their "Snape", Potterheads all around the world have been paying tribute to the actor. I have already posted a tribute to Rickman here, but maybe that's not enough. Remind yourself of the iconic role:
I might post another tribute, if I have the time. But here's some more tributes that people and places all around the world have been giving to Rickman out of respect and memory.
Platform 9 3/4
In order to honor the Harry Potter series, London train station, Kings Cross, has put up a sign that says 'Platform 9 3/4' with half a trunk sticking out of the wall so that it can look like you're running into the wall. Fans have used this opportunity to put flowers and cards next to the wall to honor Rickman.
Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Fans have performed a eulogy at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, much like what was done for Dumbledore in The Half-Blood Prince.
A single lily was placed outside the Potions Classroom at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the U.K.

Ben Carlin of the YouTube channel, SuperCarlinBrothers, has posted a video that honored Alan Rickman. The video has a lot of fun facts about Rickman and his accomplishments while he was alive.
