Over the decade my interest in films has grown to where I would like to express how movies are an influence and a reflection of our society

My review of Avengers Age of Ultron: First I will give the grade of which the movie deserves. I give the movie a 7 out of 10.

My reasons for the score can be defined by the death of two characters. First is the death of Baron von Strucker. In the movie Strucker is in jail or prison or some sort of containment. The avengers find out that he has been killed by Ultron because he contained valuable information that Ultron needed. Inretrospect, Strucker wasn't a major character in the movie, but from the comics we know Strucker is like the Nick Fury of Hydra. Simply setting up an awesome villain like Strucker and then killing him, without even seeing his death but a picture of him dead is very distasteful. I was hoping to see Strucker later on, or find out that he manages to escape from his containment, making him, like Loki, a villain that we would see again and cause more trouble for the Avengers.

The second death is much more major and important. The death of Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff. This character has much more of major role in the film and it affects all the Avengers, specifically Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff and Hawkeye/Clint Barton. Quicksilver dies after saving Hawkeye from Ultron piloting a gunship. The reason I don't like this death is similar to Strucker's death. If you are going to introduce an amazing character and then simply kill them later on then what is the point of having them. Like I said though since Quicksilver is much more of a major character his death is much more important. Being a twin, it psychologically, mentally and physically affects Scarlet Witch and you can see it in the movie. It affects Hawkeye, not only because Quicksilver saves Hawkeye from certain death because the two when they first meet almost act like rivals in some way. To honor Quicksilver, Hawkeye gives his second son the middle name of Pietro.

My summary of my review. Age of Ultron was very good but I did not like the deaths of some very interesting and cool characters, one of which has a very important role in the movie. Also Marvel really needs to keep more villains alive, cause really all they have is Loki and Thanos. They need more villains because for every great hero, you need a great villain.
