One of the most difficult questions you could ever be asked in your life is "How would you rank the Star Wars movies?" If you think about it, it's really difficult. That's why have thoroughly thought through how to do the impossible, to rank the Star Wars movies. Since Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens was recently dropped in theaters, I have gone back to watch all the movies to rank them.

7.) Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace

Imagine waiting sixteen years after the original trilogy was completed and you are extremely excited to see the new Star Wars movie and it's the Phantom Menace. Episode I doesn't meet the standards of the original trilogy or have the Star Wars feel like the original trilogy does. Jar Jar Binks is the most annoying character in all of Star Wars. Plus, Anakin is 9 years old who ends up falling in love with Padmé who is 5 years older than him. This relationship is really awkward. Qui Gon Jinn was a excellent. The pod racing scene was okay but very long and tiring, and the lightsaber duel between Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi vs. Darth Maul is definitely one of the best lightsaber duels of all time. Over all it is a fairly boring movie with one good scene at the end.

6.) Star Wars IV: A New Hope

I'm probably going to get hate for how low I ranked this one. This is the one that started it all. Without this movie Star Wars would not exist today! Can you imagine that? No Star Wars! It's great how Luke is 19 when it began his story, unlike Anakin who was 9. This movie introduced some of the most iconic characters of all time. Also, it showed the very first lightsaber battle which was Obi Wan Kenobi vs. Darth Vader. Plus, the special effects for 1977 were way ahead of his time. This movie is low on this ranking because it isn't as strong as the other movies in the original trilogy or some of the other, and sometimes it can come across as very oddly paced. But this movie is pure genius.

5.)Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones

This movie is filled with terrible acting, cheesy lines, and crappy CGI. Hayden Christensen's acting is the worst acting in the whole saga in this movie. He comes across as whiny, cheesy, and sometimes even creepy, especially with the looks he gives Padmé. Almost everything in the movie has CGI. The whole Clone Army is CGI, which is awful. It's funny how it's called Attack of the Clones and the Clones barely even attack. On the plus side, there are some good action sequences such as Obi Wan vs. Jango Fett, the speeder chase in the beginning, the battle at the end, and the lightsaber battle with Yoda, Obi Wan, and Anakin vs. Count Dooku. Everything else is just Anakin complaining about something or scenes of Anakin and Padmé's extremely awkward relationship. One of the only reasons this episode is higher than A New Hope is because the action scenes are more intriguing than A New Hope's.

4.) Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back

I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for where this episode is ranked too. Most people will say that this movie should be the top of the ranking. I think Episode V is right where it belongs. For one reason, it is very overrated just because of its iconic scenes. Even though the iconic scenes are fantastic, it isn't the best Star Wars movie. Also, some people prefer Return of the Jedi over The Empire Strikes Back. I think this is a brilliant movie and without this movie, movies would probably be different today, but it shouldn't be the highest movie.

3.) Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens

This movie did a great job of setting a a story 30ish years after Return of the Jedi. The characters were great. The acting is great. The mysteries that fans can create theories out of are great. I also love how this movie brings things back from the original trilogy like the Millennium Falcon and old characters. Rey was a fantastic lead character and Kylo Ren was an outstanding villain. I also really enjoyed the humor in this movie. Also, the death of Han Solo was a well done scene, even though it was very sad. The lightsaber duel between Rey and Finn was incredible and the ending scene was amazing.

2.) Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi

Return of the Jedi is by far the best of the original trilogy. This movie is the most action packed, fun, and emotional of the original trilogy. The opening scene when Han is unfrozen, and the fight scene in Jabba's palace is great. Also, the battle right after that scene when we first see Luke's handmade green lightsaber is awesome, but Boba Fett's death is kind of lame. Yoda's death was one of the saddest deaths in all of Star Wars, but we find out that Darth Vader is truly Luke's father. Also, we find out that Leia is Luke's sister. The Battle of Endor and the Speeder Bike Chase scene was really cool. Even though most people hate the Ewoks, I really like them. Also, we meet Darth Sidious for the first time when he isn't a hologram. Then, Luke faces Vader and it's definitely the most emotional lightsaber battle in the original trilogy. A fantastic scene is when Vadee choses Luke over Sidious and kills Sidious. Another great scene is when Darth Vader gets Luke to remove his helmet and we see what he looks like. This movie is definitely the best of the original trilogy.

1.) Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith

Most people don't agree with where this ranks for me. This is my favorite Star Wars movie because it made me become a Star Wars fan! I watched this movie all the time as a kid and I've loved it ever since and it will always be my favorite Star Wars. The lightsaber battle between Anakin and Obi Wan drew my attention like no movie ever had. This movie also is the story of how everything was set up for the original trilogy and it couldn't have been done any better. This episode is just flat out awesome and no Star Wars can ever top this one.

What's your personal Star Wars ranking? Do you agree with mine? Let me know what you think in the comments.
