The young actress currently dubbed as one of the most influential teens of 2015 has just become the latest star in a string of celebrities to have shed the shame and stood up for what she believes in. Girl Meets World's Rowan Blanchard has opened up about her sexuality and told her fans via Twitter that she identifies as 'queer.'

The preliminary post was a screenshot of a draft which you can see below:

It reads:

"In my life – only ever liked boys. However I personally don't wanna label myself as straight, gay or whateva so I am not gonna give myself labels to stick with – just existing."

As awesome and inspiring as it is for a young celebrity to reveal their open-mindedness to society, Blanchard was not prepared for the unfortunate and upsettingly typical backlash from her followers.

We should be celebrating the fact that this 14-year-old is brave enough to delve into complex and conflicting debates publicly and eloquently, instead of shaming and potentially stunting her exploration. I mean, could you write this at that age?
