Star Wars Return of the Jedi review

Im gonna be honest as a kid I thought that Return of the Jedi was the best within the trilogy. I loved it so much with Luke kicking butt on Tatooine in Jabba's Palace but as I have gotten older I look back and realize that Return of the Jedi is probably the weakest of the Original Trilogy. Don't get me wrong there are scenes within Return of the Jedi that I love. The whole Jabba scenario was great, and even Endor was great and of course the final battle was awesome, but there was something that bothered me about Return. Oh Yes the Ewoks. You see as a kid I thought the Ewoks were simply baby Wookies and then I realized they were a completely different alien species. Not only that but I look at how the heck did these teddy bear aliens ever defeat a whole army that had advanced weaponry and armor. I never understood that. That is really the only thing that bothers me about the film. Some would say that isn't much and it shouldn't ruin your movie experience and it doesn't really but the whole Ewoks vs Storm Troopers thing is kind of big in the film and it just bothers me that these teddy bears threw rocks and sticks and somehow it blew up troopers with armor and advanced weaponry.

The rest of the film is good with Jabba's palace and seeing the emperor for the first time and Luke vs Vader again and Vader saving his son from the emperor and even seeing the Jedi ghosts at the end.

Overall the movie is still strong but the whole Ewoks vs Storm Troopers and winning thing annoys me. 8 out of 10
