If there is one thing I realized In Django unchained, it's that Leonardo Dicaprio can strike some fear into my soul. So what if he played someone more sinister than Calvin Candy, slave owner. What if he were set to play one of America's most infamous serial killers? Someone who killed more people than many of the serial killers from the 20th century, combined. Because one thing I am sure of, it's that people are interested in serial killers.

Well folks, soon enough we will no longer have to wonder, there will be no more ifs. It will soon be onscreen for us all to fearfully enjoy.

The Devil in The White City, a book based on serial killer H.H. holmes. Set around the 1893 world's fair in Chicago. A town which unbeknownst to everyone, housed what later became known as Holmes' "Murder Castle".

Imagine a building, that is also a maze. A place that has rooms with chutes to the basement incinerator, to cremate Holmes' victims. Imagine walking into a room that was air tight, that you became locked in, until you suffocated. Other rooms were as black as the night sky, others had doors with brick walls behind them. Some had gas chambers. Only one person knew the layout of this house of horrors in its entirety, H.H. Holmes.

Ever since Leonardo Dicaprio bought the movie rights to the book, The Devil in The White City, i have been patiently waiting. This happened about 5 or 6 years ago.

So, this all sounds amazing right? Some will say that this is as good as it gets, to those people I say, wait there's more.. maybe we are missing something, or someone to help do this movie do as well as it can.

Enter Martin Scorsese, someone who leo has worked with several times. The departed, Gangs of New York, the aviator, the wolf of wall street. Of course, let's not forget the dark, twist filled movie, set in a mental hospital where nothing is what it seems, Shutter Island. Shutter Island had many dark plot points, scares, thrills, and chills. Which leads me to believe that if Mr Dicaprio and Mr Scorsese can make a movie about a war vet, and U.S. Marshall turned killer. That when they come together to make a movie about a serial killer, it will have us on the edge of our seats. Screaming in theatres, and wanting more..

The movie does not yet have a release date. But I can speculate that around 2019 we will have a polished gem on screen for us all to look upon with shock and awe.

In the meantime, if this movie peaks your interest, you can always read the book off which it will be based. You can watch H.H. Holmes documentaries, like H.H. Holmes, America's first serial killer, the cover to which I have posted a picture of below. to get more acquainted with the mass murdering man of many mysteries.

Thank you for reading. I hope you will look forward to this movie as much as I am. It will be here before we know it.
