7. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation

Awful script and acting by everyone. Horrible direction. Terrible story. They took away all of the gruesome cannibalistic aspects of the family. The absolute worst leatherface, they made him a transsexual. One of the worst Horror films and films that I have ever seen. It ruined the franchise.

6. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2

Overall good kills although I wish leatherface killed more people than he did. Great acting by everyone. More of a spoof than a sequel even know the comedy isn't that great. Leatherface looks terrible in this but the character is still good. Good sequel, just not one of the best.

5. Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III

The sequel of the original trilogy. Feels more like the original than part 2. Leatherface looks awesome and is one of the best leatherface characters. Very likeable, strong characters. Probably the closest to the original along with several others in the franchise. A solid sequel.

4. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

Doesn't feel anything like the original but still a good remake. The mask was awful, but still one of the best leatherface characters. Awesome, gory kills. Most of the characters are likeable especially Jessica Biel's, the hitchhiker that killed herself, the other hitchhiker, sheriff Hoyt and of course leatherface. Overall, solid remake.

3. Texas Chainsaw 3D

Very underrated. Leatherface's look and character are both awesome. Great, likeable characters, especially Heather. The only true sequel to the original. Great modern tone and look to the franchise. And great gore and kills. The best sequel in the franchise.

2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

Amazing prequel that out weights the remake in every way. Probably feels the most like the original. Very likeable 3 dimensional characters. And while you know what's going to happen to them you really don't want it to. Leatherface looks awesome and his character is much better than in the remake. Very dark and gritty feel like the original. If only the remake was more like this.

1. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

There's no doubt about it, the original is hands down the best. It has the best leatherface in the whole franchise and what I consider to really be the only one in the franchise because he's the only one that acts like leatherface. Sally is the greatest final girl in a horror film because she just acts like a person would in her situation and R.I.P Marilyn Burns, you will always be remembered for your fantastic performance in this film. Pam's kill is also the best kill in a horror movie because that's when you first realise how messed up leatherface actually is. And the dinner scene is also the greatest Horror scene because Sally is just in so much fear and she's screaming and crying and the family is just laughing and mocking her and you really get to see how messed up this whole family is and how messed up the movie even is. There is not much more that can be said that hasn't been said before. This is my favorite Horror film of all time and is in my top 3 favorite films of all time. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a masterpiece.
