Not too long ago, the trailer of The HuntsmanThe Huntsman: Winter's War hit the web but to my surprise there wasn't much hype towards. Now i'm guessing it must of got lost under trailers like Batman vs Superman, [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409)[Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409), Independence Day: Resurgence and many more great titles.

There are so many reasons to be excited for the prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman but I'm going to be giving you three quick ones. But before you carry on reading quickly watch the trailer so I can explain why this has the potential to be great.

Great, now let's begin.

1. The visual effects

If Cedric Nicolas-Troyan is in charge of visual effects for something, expect yourself for a visual treat as he's known for his outstanding visual effects. The Academy Award also noticed his outstanding work and gave him a nomination for Best Visual Effects. Seriously, even if you don't enjoy the movie just appreciate how beautiful it is.

2. Have you seen the cast?!

This cast is amazing and you know it. I mean Emily Blunt as the Ice Queen, Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, Chris Hemsworth as The Huntsman, and Jessica Chastain as the Warrior, can you really ask for more? Let's not forget its three female leads and by the looks of it, they look like strong leads.

3. Brings out the darkness of fairy tales

This isn't your typical live action fairy tale. When it comes it films like Snow White and the Huntsman, Maleficent, they try to show how dark and gritty an actual fairy tale is. For those unaware, original fairy-tales are very disturbing as the stories take a much more darker turn, for example, in Cinderella the two stepsisters cut their feet so it can fit into the glass slippers. Eventually we find out the pair belongs to Cinderella. The stepsisters decide to go, but they have their eyes pecked out by birds and become blind beggars.

You may of discovered by now that fairy tales weren't originally for kids, but Disney over them time have helped us believe they are. To summarize, The Huntsman: Winter's War is one of the many adaptation that try's to bring that true darkness out with blood, gore and death but with a limit of course. With it being rated PG-13 they do have to take some steps back.

So what do you think? Will you be going to watch The Huntsman: Winter's War or are you really annoyed because Kristen Stewart won't be making an appearance? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below!
