9. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

I don't know what they were doing with this thing. Freddy looks like he's wearing one of those cheap Halloween masks but worse. The characters are so annoying and deserve everything. Did half of the movie need to be about Freddy's childhood cause I didn't really care, I wasn't even wondering about it throughout the franchise. I'm not a fan of this franchise and I'm especially not a fan of this abortion.

8. A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child

So it's come to this. This isn't much better than Freddy's Dead. I knew how stupid this would be before I even made the mistake of seeing it. Really, Freddy getting to the dreams of an unborn baby. And the kills in this are so predictable and stupid. I don't know what the hell this is.

7. A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)

Now I liked The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween and Friday The 13th remakes, but this is just pathetic. Freddy looks absolutely stupid, he doesn't even look burnt he just looks deformed. Every actor and actress in this thing looks depressed for being apart of this piece of crap and not excited about it. I don't even remember any of them promoting this. I would say the only good thing about this movie are the kills. Stick to the original and not the remake for this.

6. A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge

This is just ridiculous. The idea of Freddy trying to possess the main character is stupid because he's not even a demon, unless he is and just isn't explained in the franchise than I don't know.

5. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

Another extremely unnecessary, forgettable sequel. I'm so done talking about stupid Movies in this bad franchise. This thing made no sense I would say the only good part about is Robert Englund.

4. Wes Craven's New Nightmare

I guess this is the first OK movie in this franchise. It was still pretty useless just like the other sequels. I guess it's interested to think of Freddy in the real world. And the kills are good, so is Robert Englund. But it's basically telling you that the other films are just films and while you know they are it's not scary when they straight up tell you.

3. Freddy Vs Jason

I did a ranking of the Friday The 13th franchise previously so just go to that ranking and you'll see my opinions on this film. Short review, good movie.

2. A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

The best sequel in the franchise. This has some really good kills and a good story. Robert Englund does great as usual. Heather Langenkamp returns as Nancy and does a great job again. It's a shame the other sequels weren't that great.

1. A Nightmare On Elm Street

It was obvious that this was going to be my favorite of the franchise. It's the only one I can really watch over and over and it's one of Wes Craven's best films. The sequels definitely would've been better if they kept the creepy story, tone and just the creepy character traits of Freddy instead of making him comedic. A Nightmare On Elm Street is supposed to make you be afraid to go to sleep and it succeeds on that unlike it's sequels.
