Now that Deadpool has officially been screened (to the extreme pleasure of almost everyone in attendance it seems), it's about time for those of us who weren't lucky enough to see the film to piece together whatever amount of the plot we can from what's been released so far.

After looking over Total Film's recent release of Deadpool pictures (all of which you can see here), I realized there's a lot to take away from some of these pictures. For instance:

  • Deadpool on the Bridge... Again

Every single time we get a new Deadpool trailer, we get yet another look at the bridge scene. Remember that concept trailer that pretty much blew up the internet? Not only was it popular enough to secure a remake in live action, but it also secured a solid place in every single piece of released Deadpool information imaginable.

Reflecting that, Total Film gave us an impressive amount of angles covering the fight and the resulting crash.

Notice where the bullet pierced his arm earlier?
Notice where the bullet pierced his arm earlier?

Clearly, these two pictures are part of that fight on the bridge, but why exactly is there a fight on the bridge in the first place? Who are those guys Deadpool is attacking?

I'd argue that this scene is one of the first times, if not the first time, we get to see Wade Wilson in costume, possibly going after a target for information on Vanessa/Copycat's location after she's been kidnapped. His methods attract a ton of attention (who wouldn't notice a huge car crash and a gunfight right in the middle of the road?), leading to the intervention of Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

  • Deadpool vs Angel Dust (Multiplied)

Don't get me wrong, I liked the pictures Total Film gave us. That having been said, has anyone else noticed that a lot of the pictures are just different versions of the one below?

Close ups, wide shots, and every other angle imaginable of Deadpool, Colossus, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, all walking in the same slow-mo action film style. Given the background, this is clearly part of the same fight scene with Angel Dust (Gina Carano), as seen below.

She's obviously working with Ajax, the film's villain, but why the fight here? We actually have a clue in the trailer above, at around 1:52. You can see Vanessa being lead away by Ajax, Angel Dust (with the same hair style and costume), and a handful of the soldier types in a similar setting as the picture above. My guess? Angel Dust and the men are holding off Deadpool and his friends, stalling as best they can so Ajax can get Vanessa to a more secure location.

  • Deadpool and Copycat Playing Games

This picture is a little trickier to figure out. They're clearly surrounded by a number of different games, but it's not entirely clear where the scene is actually taking place. What we can figure out though is that this would take place early in the relationship between Wade and Vanessa.

Notice in the red band trailer how she has the exact same hairstyle? These scenes with her short hair are probably flashbacks to how she and Wade met, how they fell in love, and their life before he developed his cancer. You can even see a (slightly blurry) glimpse of this same jacket in Wade's lap when he's talking about the cancer prognosis in the first trailer.

There's still a few Total Film images to sift through, along with numerous trailers and TV spots, leaving us with plenty of interpreting still to do. Don't forget to go check out Deadpool when it arrives in theaters February 12, 2016!
