Us kids might finally get the opportunity to see the legendary N.W.A spitting their seminal bars because Ice Cube is teasing that the rap pioneers might be reuniting at 2016's Coachella festival.
The news was announced on one of the least gangsta rap talk shows of all time, The View, but I won't let that put a silencer on my explosive excitement. Check out Ice Cube breaking the news at around the 6.35 mark in the video below:
If you don't want to watch the video, Ice Cube hinted at the crowd-pleasing tricks he had up his sleeve for his two Coachella appearances when he told the hosts that:
"I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves – I’m gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., West Side Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years."
And, although Eazy-E passed away from AIDS at just 30 years old in 1995, Ice Cube hinted that they might use technology to bring him back to the stage. When the rap superstar said that the show will include "some great visuals," a lot of fans' minds immediately jumped to the incredible holographic Tupac performance alongside Snoop Dogg from 2012:
Coachella 2016 will take between April 15th - 24th, with Ice Cube hitting the stage on both Saturday nights.
