Warner Bros. have announced that a brand new edition of the world's most brutal fighter is on the way next month.

Every fighter, every skin, every kombo, every X-Ray, every fatality, every decapitation, every nut-punch, every impalement, every blood-thirsty, acid spitting psychopath and every badass match up - every bit of Mortal Kombat X all in one package!

NetherRealm today officially announced the arrival of their newest version of Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat XL with a body rocking gameplay trailer. The trailer showcases some of the games newest and most infamous characters tearing each other limb from limb and it's brilliant.

Mortal Kombat XL does not differ too much from the original, what we know so far is that it will release with a much larger inventory of fighter to choose from. Mortal Kombat XL will not be getting otherwise unheard of characters but it will include all the bonus characters, previously only available via DLC.

The game will feature all playable characters from both kombat Pack 1 and 2 including the mighty Goro. Playable characters include Predator, Jason Voorhees (Friday 13th), Tanya, Tremor, Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Xenomorph (Alien), Bo Rai Cho (drunken fist master) and Tri-Borg. It will also release with all of the additional DLC skins.

The announcement stated that the game will be available for purchase on both Xbox One and PS4 come March 1st, a PC version however, was not mentioned. The game will be available to download as well as hardcopy purchase.

More details to follow as and when we know more. Just take this time to watch some of those brilliant brutalities a few more times!
