Oliver rushes Felicity to the hospital after the attack by Damiens men. A flash forward shows Oliver standing over someone's Grace as Barry walks in to check on his friend. In the present Oliver continues to search for Darhk by going after the ghosts. Each of them leading him to a dead end. Felicity is alive but is left in a bad state, requiring her to undergo multiple surgeries. The team is mission is put on hold when Lonnie Machin returns. He has his own vendetta against Darhk and now goes by the name Anarky. They find him at his foster parents house and capture him for interrogation. Before Oliver can do so Thea tells him that Felicity is out of surgery but the news is not good. He leaves her to take care of Anarky. Anarky taunts Thea saying that they are alike with their shared bloodlust. Before she can torture him the cops show up and take him into custody. Diggle beats his brother for information on Darhk but gets nothing. When he arrives at the hospital Mama Smaok tells Oliver that Felicity will never be able to walk again. Diggle goes home before going to visit Felicity and talks to Lola about Andy. She tells him to stop treating him like a ghost and start treating him like family. Diggle is finally able to get through to his brother who tells him that Darhk always talked about Stonehaven. Oliver frees Anarky from police custody and puts a tracker on him in hopes that he leads them to Darhk. All hope seems lost when the signal goes dark but Laurel finds a lead on Stonehave. They find Damiens house and save his family from Anarky. He fights Oliver and Thea then gets away. Darhk who rushed home to confront Anarky finds Oliver instead. The fight but again Damien defeats Oliver. After telling Darhk that he saved his family from Anarky Darhk let's him go. Yelling him to enjoy the days he has left with his family before he comes for him. Thea chases Anarky into woods and is nearly killed. He spares her life and gets away. Oliver meets with Felicity at the hospital and plans to go away with her. Thea and Alex get back together and Diggle tries to bond with his brother. Four months later Oliver is leaving the grave yard and joins Felicity who is alive. She tells him that he needs to kill that son of bitch as she cries.
Anarky and Darhk brought their A game this episode. Team Arrow could not keep up and were outmatched. Here are some notable scenes.
Lonnie Machin/Anarky: Lonnie has come back to settle things with Darhk. His appearance is closer to his comic book counterpart with his face scarred which he covers with a mask. He is easily one of the better fighters that Team Arrow has had to face and they have yet to defeat him. He took on two members all at once. What a bad ass.
Team Arrow- The team took to birds out with one stone this episode. To bad those two birds ended up getting away and Felicity's situation seemed to get worse. Although they butted heads this episode, the team helped Oliver maintain his humanity and of course, not die.
Oliver and Felicity- We know we've been giving Felicity some flack for her whining in season three into this season, but we had nothing but sympathy for her here. Olicity may have been a bit of a drag for some of us, but now we know that they are going to stay strong for a little while longer. Surprisingly their scenes tugged on the heart strings and made us want things to get better for them.
Oliver and Laurel- Sometimes Laurel can be a bit confusing. She is a vigilante yet she didn't agree with what Oliver did this episode. Sure he kind of compared your sister to a cold blooded killer that Machin is, but he had a point. Good thing they finally saw eye to eye and got the job done. Til next time of course.
Oliver and Diggle- They had a rocky start at true beginning of this season, but the broments are finally back. Leave it to Diggle to make sure his brother Oliver doesn't fail off the right path.
Oliver and Thea- It was a little funny seeing the roles reversed between the two this episode. She was able to control her bloodlust and had to remind Oliver to rearrange his priorities. Go visit severly injured fiance you dingus.
Oliver and Damien- Funny that Darhk had made it his mission to kill Oliver's loved ones and Oliver saves Damien. At least we know that Damien has some sort of twisted code of honor, by letting Oliver go. You saves my family. Thank you. Now go and and spend time with yours, then I'm going to kill you.
Oliver and Lance- These two have come along way. He locked Oliver up just w a little while ago and here they are. Going after the baddies together and keeping the city safe. Ollie even offered Lance to stay at the Arrowcave for his protection.
Diggle and Andy- now I fight a lot with my brother, but I don't think that we'd be clashing like that. Diggle should feel bad about doing that to his bro, but then again Andy was kind of deserving of it. The ending where they play cards had all the feels. Looks like there is still hope for these two to be family again.
Diggle and Lila- Even the wise Diggle needs some advice from time to time. Thats where Lila comes in. She reminded him that he should look at Andy like his brother and not a ghost. That line said so much.
Thea and Lonnie- Lonnie is totally crushing on Thea. I think he enjoyed the whole face burning thing and wanted to go for a round two. Unlike Thea his bloodlust wasn't from the Pit. He's just straight crazy. He may have tried to get Thea to give in to her inner demons but she was strong enough not to.
Thea and Laurel- In all of the craziness at least these two have each other to talk to. Who else would be able to sit there an listen to your friend talk about their urge to kill and that the only way to get rid of it is through a man who is a master of the dark arts.
Thea and Alex- They broke up and got together all in the same episode. Yeah they are no Thea and Roy, but they seem fine together. I feel like she's just helped Darhk put another target on his list though.
Laurel and Quentin- Well at least she is cool with her dad hooking up with Mama Smoak. Finally these two seem to be on good terms and hopefully it stays that way. No more hitting the bottle for these two, there's a lot more work to be done.
Damien and Mrs. Darhk- They are a family of psychos. Even she wanted to have the Green Arrow killed even though he saved her and her daughter. What's bitch.
New 52- News 52. Check.
Brie Thorpe- Nothing as of now but it could mean something later.
What's to come:
Felicity is revealed to be alive so we can cross her off the death list. Darn it. Now some other candidates are Diggle, Thea, Sandra, Roy, Quentin or Mama Smoak. Also this whole Genesis project Damien has planned is a bit of a mystery but we may have a theory about it. We will be talking about that in a future post soon. It looks like the team has to save both Diggle and Lila in the next episode after they are taken by the group "Shadowspire". For those of you fellow comic nerds this organization is less at some point by Reiter, the man in Oliver's flashbacks. Felicty struggles to adjust to the new life while trying to help the team and it's not looking too good.
The Darhk times continue in the mid season premiere of Arrow. Everybody seems to have made it out alive, but some are worse off than the others. The story has just gotten more interesting and now we want to how in the hell this team is going to stop someone like Damien. He's clearly in a league of his own. Time to call in the big guns, don't think Oliver? Last night's 'Blood Debts' gets a 8.9 broken arrows out of 10. What did you think about it? Leave it in the comments below we'd love to read them!
