We all know that Marvel likes to play around with genres. We saw how they played with genres ranging from political thriller with Captain America: The First Avenger to Ant-Man, a comedic heist. Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth will be teaming in the upcoming Marvel film and it's going to one heck of a journey because traveling across the Nine Realms can be one adventurous trip.
Mark Ruffalo recently told Empire, the upcoming film will be have a Midnight Run feel with the relationship between Thor and the Hulk.
“There’s a little bit of Midnight Run, with [Charles] Grodin and [Robert] De Niro. I feel like that’s kind of where we’re heading with this relationship between Thor and Banner."
So it looks like we'll be getting a road movie but set within the Nine Realms, maybe we'll be seeing Thor and Hulk hanging about in Alfheim. Ruffalo hinted that his on-screen chemistry with Hemsworth is what pushed Marvel Studios to go into a comic direction with Thor: Ragnarok.
"I love Chris [Hemsworth], and it’s not an accident that we’ve been put together because we have a good time together and we goof off. The fact that we’re moving towards the smart-comedic bent plays into our relationship.”
