[DC's Legends of Tomorrow](tag:2937021) is finally with us! Last night the first episode aired and it was amazing! Legends of Tomorrow has the Time Master Rip Hunter traveling back in time to gather, or rather capture a team. The team consists of Rip Hunter, the ATOM, White Canary, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and Martin Stein and Jax to make up Firestorm. So overall, there are nine members on the team.
It has been hinted at, that in this first season we may see the death of a character. I'm guessing it will be Heat Wave, even though I like him, just not as much as I like everyone else, and I think many fans might agree with me. But because the show centers around a team, and because members will die, this means we will eventually need new members. So I chose my top ten members from five previous articles of mine (which is probably too much, but I had a lot of ideas), and I chose to write this article just for the premiere of Legends of Tomorrow.
I bet many are tired of people saying they want more of Constantine, and especially since how much I talk about him. But Constantine was a great TV series, and when he appeared on Arrow, the episode did very good. A while back Constantine was rumored to be a main cast member on Legends of Tomorrow in season 2, and I'm sure Greg Berlanti and his people are trying to get the character, so why should he not be used? Many people want more of the character, and he fits perfectly on the show! (Although it might be a little confusing to have two English guys wearing trench coats on the same show, but never mind that!)
Vixen was recently renewed for a second season on CW Seed, and the character will appear in a later episode of Arrow season 4. Not too long ago, the picture above was released. I think it's a very good interpretation of Vixen into live action form, and I think she'll be a great character. But I do not want a live action spin-off series. I think she wouldn't work too well in her own series; but I do think she would fit perfectly on Legends of Tomorrow. Vixen is a great character, and I don't think the animated series was the best, and I think she needs a bigger role in the future, and Legends is the best place for it.
Roy Harper will be making his return to Arrow in episode 12 this season. From what I have heard, the Calculator will drive him out of hiding and he will meet up with Team Arrow. What I hope will happen, is that Roy realizes that the world needs him, and he gets a new suit, becomes Red Arrow, and joins the Legends of Tomorrow. He is one of my favorite characters in the Arrowverse, and Colton Haynes has shown that he is a very talented actor, and the fans have shown that they want to see more of Roy, so why not include him on Legends?
Katana was revealed in the trailer for the second half of Arrow's fourth season, so we know she is coming back. I think the likelihood of her joining is about 50/50. She will be appearing in Suicide Squad, coming out in August. She also wanted to be alone and live a happy life the last time we saw her. But I think she will die in Suicide Squad, and the writers could easily find a way to bring her onto Legends of Tomorrow, because she is a great character that really needs to be expanded upon.
In episode 7 of Supergirl, Hank Henshaw was revealed to be Martian Manhunter. I think that one of the best ways to have Supergirl crossover into the Arrowverse, is Martian Manhunter. Yes, he is is a pivotal character in the story of Supergirl, but he may not be in the future. If the last survivor of Mars isn't needed, Legends of Tomorrow would be the best place for him.
Technically, and I think this is really, really cool, Doctor Fate already or has existed in the Arrowverse. Constantine returned to TV in Arrow season 4, and in the first episode of Constantine, the character Zed picks up the helmet of Doctor Fate,--so that means Doctor Fate exists alongside people like The Flash, Green Arrow, and the ATOM! I think someone can steal the helmet from John Constantine (which would be a great Legends of Tomorrow crossover), or the petty dabbler of the dark arts could give the helmet to someone who is worthy enough to wear, and I'm not talking about Thor, that's Marvel... But since Doctor Fate wasn't cast, they could cast anyone they'd like. He is a great character that is very different and interesting and really should be used.
Wildcat was one of the most underused characters I've seen on television. J.R. Ramirez was perfect as the character, and I really want him to come back. He needs to return, and as apart of Team Arrow would be a good place for him, but I think Legends would be better because he could be much better developed as a character. Overall, I just want to see more of Wildcat, and Legends of Tomorrow would be a great place for him!
Red Tornado is my other idea for a Supergirl and Arrowverse crossover. I am not convinced that Red Tornado is dead, especially since he is an android, and can be rebuilt. And maybe Maxwell Lord might create a new version, since he has his arm. I want to see more of this character, and I really don't want a different version of the character on TV. It would be easy for Supergirl and Legends to subtly crossover with the appearance of Red Tornado on Legends, and I think it's a really good idea.
Doctor Fate exists in the Arrowverse, but so does the Spectre. Emmett Scanlan played the character on Constantine. The character Zed shared with Corrigan that she kept getting visions of his demise. Constantine was cancelled and the character could not be expanded upon. But I think the character would work very well in either a spin-off or Legends of Tomorrow. Legends is more likely, and It's the option I like more, and I think it would be a really good idea.
The Huntress is supposed to return in the current season of Arrow, season 4. Me, including many other fans, love the character, and want to see more of her. Since Legends of Tomorrow isn't just taking heroes, but it's taking villains and anti-heroes as well, the Huntress should definitely be included.
Well, that was my list of characters I want on Legends of Tomorrow. There were many characters I wanted to include, like Mister Terrific, Nightwing, Pandora, and Beast Boy, but I couldn't include all of them. If you are interested in this topic, I wrote five articles (like I said, probably too many) about Legends of Tomorrow members. You can check out the first right here: DC's Legends of Tomorrow: Who Should Be Members (Part 1).
