This episode was a lot more story driven, but there was still plenty of action. Not to mention some sweet time travel. Check out these notable scenes.
Ray Palmer/Atom: A scientist, inventor, and businessman who has a bullet proof exosuit capable of firing energy blasts and shrinking.
Sara Lance/White Canary: The former black Canary who was resurrected by her sister Laurel, using the Lazarus Pit. She now has enhanced speed, strength and agility.
Martin Stein/Firestorm: One half of Firestorm who is a nuclear physicist. He controls the mind and conscience of Firestorm. most of them time.
Jefferson Jackson/Firestorm: The other half of Firestorm who was a former high school athlete. He serves as the vessel for Firestorm.
Mick Rory/Heatwave: An arsonist with a specialized heat gun. He is Snart's long time accomplice and is part of the Rogues who are enemies of the Flash.
Leonard Snart/Captain Cold: The son of a corrupt cop who uses a cryonic gun he stole from Cisco Ramon at Star Labs. He is also a part of the Rogues.
Kendra Saunders- A reincarnation of Priestess Chay-Ara who is still coming to terms with her ancient Hawkgirl persona. She has the ability to fly, has enhanced strength and speed.
Carter Hall- A reincarnation of Prince Khufu who is cursed to continue dying along with his lover Kendra until they kill Vandal. As Hawkman he possesses flight, enhanced strength and speed.
Rip Hunter: A time traveler who tasks himself with assembling a team to stop Vandal Savage. He is the Captain of his ship the Waverider, is an expert in history and uses a specialized laser gun.
Vandal Savage: An 4000 year old immortal who has manipulated leaders throughout history in attempt to take over the whole world. He has enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, healing, and is a master combatant, especially with blunt weapons, and knives.
Aldus Boardman- Kendra and Carter's son from their past lives. Ever since their death by Vandal when he was ten. Aldus dedicated his life to researching Kendra, Carter, and Vandal's back story in hopes to save the world.
Oliver Queen/Green Arrow: Our favorite green hooded vigilante from Star City.
Laurel Lance/Black Canary: Sara's sister who took up the mantle as Black Canary.
Chronos: A time traveling bounty hunter who's mission is to capture Rip Hunter for the Time Masters.
Jonas: Rip Hunter's son who was killed by Vandal Savage.
Legends- The most unlikely team you could ever think of, but that's why it all works. There are so many personalities and so many possibilities with these characters. They have no idea how to work together just yet, but they are going to have to learn real quick. They are all still on that getting to know you stage. The were all pretty much brought together by a lie, but it looks like they are ready to set their own destiny.
Ray and Oliver- It was pretty interesting to see them working together this episode, especially since Ray went away after he came back on Arrow. Oliver gave Ray his blessing before running of to be a legend.
Ray and Stein- I expect to see a lot more feeling out between these two on this show. That was pretty messed up when Stein said he didn't remember Ray who had once been his student. Then again, they have both gone through some pretty crazy things leading up to here.
Sara and Laurel- Laurel hooked her sister up with that suit. Twas a beautiful moment these two shared. Watching them spar is always a plus.
Stein and Jax- A change of pace from how Ronnie was with Stein, these two had the funniest parts this episode.
Snart and Rory- I love how unbelievably cheesy these two are. They are the only ones who can pull it off too. We love how tough Rory acts, but he still follows Snart around like a little brother. A lot of funny moments from them as well.
Snart and Sara- They had some pretty funny scenes together. Their interaction to me this episode seemed like a brother looking out for his sister. Snart may not admit it but he's a good guy feel inside no matter how cold he acts towards people. Badoomtsch!
Kendra and Carter- Nothing brings a couple together faster than learning you have a son who could pass to be their grandfather. These two have a long way to go, but it looks like Kendra is warming up to Carter.
Kendra, Carter and Aldus- Seriously tragic. We felt like the ending when he passed was a bit odd. Okay Aldus was their son from their passed life, but we definitely expected more years and a darker ending. RIP Aldus.
Numerous Doctor Who references- When Rip asks the team what they think a time machine in London would look like. The card he handed to Stein with the address on it.
Numerous Star Wars References- Snart refers to Chronos as Boba Fet, while two civilians refer to him as Darth Vader.
Men in Black reference- We should have seen that one coming.
Waverider- Rips ship is a nod to the DC Comics character of the same name. He is being who can travel time anytime he wants. He can predict a person's future through their aura, by touching them, can fire quantum energy, become intangible, invisible, and fly at speed flight. This is pretty much everything that the ship has been shown to do.
What's to Come/Theories:
The Legends are on the hunt for Vandal and it looks like they may get a chance to confront him in the next episode. From the previews it looks like Vandal can feel Carter and Kendra's presence. We all know how that usually ends for them, but they beat him before, they can beat him again.Chronos also looks like he is going to be sticking around for a while and we definitely want to see what else he is capable of. It also seems like they are already changing the timeline with Stein's ring disappearing and a lot of destruction going on with Firestorm. A lot of exciting things are coming for our Legends of Tomorrow!
