Kingdom Hearts 3 has the opportunity to include more Disney movies and external franchises than ever before. We could see the likes of Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar Movies and even The Muppets could enter into the realm of Kingdom Hearts. However, even though Disney is famous for creating magical adventures, some of their films would have a hard time fitting in with Sora, Donald and Goofy.
Obviously the following works and movies WE think would be particularly strange, but if you have an alternative opinion on what should and shouldn't be included for the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3, then let us know in the comments below!
A Safer Release Date: These Disney Movies Would Not Fit In Kingdom Hearts 3
Where to begin?! The Disney corporation controls over 50 franchises, a lot of which have already been represented in previous Kingdom Hearts games (here are all the Disney movies that have been used so far). So let's see what's left.
Kim Possible was a widely successful Disney TV series; a series that eventually spawned 4 season, over 80 episodes and two TV movies. While Kim Possible is an awesome character and the show had an interesting supporting cast, I just can't see this fitting into Kingdom Hearts 3. It doesn't have that Disney spark that we all love about this company's work. However, this was the Disney Channel's longest-running original animated series, maybe there's enough demand from fans?
Though Square Enix have incorporated live-action franchises into Kingdom Hearts games in the past, such as The Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones is one that we're unsure about. Indie exists in a world that doesn't really fit into the magic of Kingdom Hearts. After all, the lead antagonists in some of the Indiana Jones films have been horrid cult members and even Nazis. Not exactly Kingdom Hearts material.
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Just, no. This'd be a very strange franchise to include in the body of Kingdom Hearts 3. After all, Alice In Wonderland has already delivered sections of us shrinking, and this one could actually be creepier! Square Enix, we think you can ignore this one...right?
High School Musical
I can't even believe how popular High School Musical was when it was initially released. It catapulted its stars to fame, and had millions of people around the world humming its tunes. I don't think I'm alone when I say that I really don't want to see any of these people in Kingdom Hearts 3. No offense intended guys and girls, it's just...you know...High School Musical.
Can I just take you through some snippets of reviews for this film? Please? Thanks:
- It's dreadful.
- Go on the Disney ride instead. It's over sooner.
- Rob Minkoff has directed a movie that's nearly laughless and nowhere near as frightening as what's happened to Eddie Murphy's career.
Yeah, I don't think this film deserves recognition in Kingdom Hearts 3. For some classic Disney movies, that privilege has been hard to land. Let's not give it to this.
