WWE icon Kurt Angle might be willing to try his hand at MMA, given the right opportunity.
On a recent episode of The Roman Show, the 47-year old Angle said he obviously wouldn't be a top-tier competitor, but he'd be willing to throw down with some of the legends of the sport.
"Of course, I'm not going to fight a guy in their prime," Angle said. "It's obviously gonna be one of the older guys. But if it does come to fruition, it'll be a helluva fight, whether its Kimbo Slice, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn ... or even Royce Gracie.
"If I do decide [to fight], it'll be with a Hall of Famer ... it won't be someone in their prime in their early 30s, no way, not now."
Kimbo Slice isn't a Hall of Famer, but I get his point.
Kurt Angle might not be an MMA fighter, but he had an excellent run as an amateur wrestler before joining the WWE. At the peak of his career, he took home two gold medals, once in the 1995 World Championships, and again at the 1996 Olympic Games.
He's also an avid fan of MMA, and was even in talks to compete on the 10th season of The Ultimate Fighter before an injury sidelined him. He's since joined Bellator's color commentary team, and has been teasing an actual MMA debut ever since.
