The next installment of the Thor movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will debut November 3, 2017. According to IMDb the movie will feature Mark Ruffalo, who is infamously the MCU's Hulk. As well, Cate Blanchett is rumored to be in the film with, of course, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston returning as Loki. Chris Hemsworth recently told Huffington post that the next installment should be more funnier than Thor: The Dark World. Hemsworth also told them that he has currently not seen the script yet, but we are sure he's definitely excited! Especially when rumors are that the Hulk will play a huge role in the new Thor film.

The Hulk entering into the Thor movies definitely makes sense because neither characters are announced to be in Captain America: Civil War and will have to soon be brought back to the big screen before Infinity Wars. Most likely Thor and Hulk's characters will be developed further; especially after Bruce Banner's love interest with Black Widow and then the little disappearing act he performed at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Hulk Vs. Thor

Lately people are trying to figure out what possibly could be the plot for Thor: Ragnarok. A fight between Hulk and Thor could be quite possible! In The Avengers (2012) The Hulk and Thor both fought each other and there have also been comic versions of them fighting. As well the animation film, Hulk Vs., where the Incredible Hulk faces off with Thor and Wolverine.

Could we possibly be seeing the Hulk and Thor go toe-to-toe? Or will they be teaming up for an adventure to fight someone else? I mean, they are some of the most powerful beings in the entire universe, after all.

Hulk will not join The Guardians of The Galaxy

Once Hulk made his departure from the rest of the team in the end of Age of Ultron, a few rumors circulated about Planet Hulk and possibly a team-up with The Guardians of The Galaxy. Here is what GOTG director James Gunn had to say about the Hulk joining the team:

"I can answer that question very easily: it is absolute, 100% bullshit. It feels like a great relief to finally say this after all the dumb stuff on the Internet. There's not going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never a plan for the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy – I wouldn't want the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! And it's all a bunch of complete bullshit." -James Gunn

Hulk's Role in Thor: Ragnarok?

So, obviously The Hulk won't be entering the Guardians of the Galaxy films. It is highly likely that [Thor: Ragnarok](tag:956858) will feature some amazing development for the character. Mark Ruffalo has not read the script yet, but has described the movie as a universal road trip movie shared with The Hulk and with Thor. As well, he has dropped some teasers by saying that the Hulk and Banner's personalities are beginning to merge together. Wow, that is insanely crazy!

If you want to get technical, according to Norse mythology;Ragnarok, refers to a series of events including great battle with the result of the death of a number of gods Odin, Thor, and Loki. Most likely the Marvel Universe won't be taking this exact approach, but it might foreshadow that the movie will be centred around a giant fight in which one of our major characters will die. Possibly the battle could take place between Thor and The Hulk or they team-up to fight a powerful being. So far, there are lots of hints and rumors, but it looks like we are going to have to wait a little more time.

After all, it makes sense for The Hulk to be tagging along with Thor because his character hasn't proved itself to sustain it's own solo movie. The Incredible Hulk (2008) was one of Marvel's lowest grossing movies to date.
