Now, the past six weeks or so have seen a whole lot of different fan responses to the arrival of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Some fans were instantly smitten, while others took a little time (and a repeat viewing) to warm up to the newest entry in the legendary saga. Others still simply didn't like it, or took issue with its apparent repetition of classic narrative themes.
There was also, however, another kind of response. One that might just be the greatest of them all. Some fans, y'see, came out of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and thought to themselves one simple and vitally important thing: "How can I make this funny?"
