The Big Short was an interesting watch. For a British person walking in to the cinema with no idea what the "financial crisis of 2007-08" was, I didn't really know what to expect. I mean, the trailer looked awesome, who doesn't like a film with the likes of Bale, Gosling, Pitt, and Carell (with Carell delivering a notably superb performance as always). Although confusing at first, once the momentum of my brain kicked in and began understanding what was going on, this film was really enjoyable. It was exciting, funny, and it had character. It follows 3 different story arcs, which always makes things exciting, and allows you to realise how many d*cks are in the banking and housing business. It was hard to follow at times however, and although the film tries to help you understand the certain financial terms used in the film with the help of Margot Robbie and Selena Gomez (when you watch the film this will all make sense), you can't help but feel lost sometimes, and confused, and wondering what the f*ck is going on! So before watching this, do your research in to what happened during the crisis, and you will love it!
