Though the majority of augmented reality games have been pretty poor in the past, a lot of us have faith for Pokemon GO and its release date for iOS and Android systems.
However, there are some Pokemon creations that you simply can't have faith in. Some things are just too cringeworthy to support, and the latest trailer for Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon (a game that has been out in the US since November) is one of those creations.
The Pokemon GO Trailer Is A Masterpiece Compared To Super Mystery Dungeon
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is scheduled to be released in Europe on February 19, 2016. It was originally released in Japan on September 17, 2015, and in North America on November 20, 2015, hence why it's receiving a European-focused trailer now. Though when we say European, we mean British.
This particular trailer features what can only be described as "a painfully-posh British child," a child who is transformed into a Pikachu and goes on an adventure with similarly-transformed upperclass children. What fun.
The trailer, entitled "Wow! I'm a Pokemon," takes us on an emotional rollercoaster ride through a (surprisingly well-trimmed) forest as the kids embark on a "super mystery" tour filled with adventure. The Pikachu-child fails to make his way up a set of stairs thus holding up the entourage (klutz), and later steps on a clearly-visible wooden trap that sees him plummet into a hole. But not before we get to see this priceless reaction.
Compared with the masterful Pokemon GO trailers we've received in the past, such as the announcement trailer or the recent Super Bowl commercial, this Super Mystery Dungeon "adventure" fails to capture our hearts and minds. Want to see it for yourself? Please, be my guest!
"Yay! Another apple." Where did you find this kid? He clearly doesn't deserve to be transformed into Pikachu! And that voice-over guy? Insufferable! Ah well, guess we'll have to wait for the next Pokemon GO trailer to be wowed once more. Or, you know, its release date!
