If you are a regular reader of Moviepilot, then you know that for the past few weeks, we've been running our fan-driven, reader-chosen challenge: YOU DECIDE: The Best Movie of 2015!

We started with 32 movies and narrowed it down to 16...then 8...then 4...then the final battle between [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](tag:711158) and [Mad Max: Fury Road](tag:41445).

And now, the winner has been revealed! Drumroll, please...

Good lookin' out, dude. *fist bump*

Okay, that's enough drumming. THE WINNER:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

As if the ultimate winner was ever really in question.

Forget the Oscars. You, our Moviepilot readers, have chosen The Force Awakens as the Best Movie of 2015! The Disney film has broken so many records around the world that it can't even truly be put into words just how much it's dominated our collective consciousness at the end of 2015 and heading into 2016.

What's more, it's introduced the magic of the Star Wars universe to an entirely new generation of fans and washed the bad taste left by the prequels out of our mouths. With a story that managed to marry original franchise pillars with an entirely new, instantly lovable young cast, The Force Awakens did everything right.

But wait, there's more!

In case you forgot, we also had a giveaway of a hand-picked collection of the best Blu-ray/DVDs from 2015 with the winner to be chosen at random from those of you who commented on the contest - and we've chosen that winner.

Congratulations to Aaron Hubbard, the winner of our Best Movie of 2015 Giveaway!

Aaron's not just a reader, he's also one of our fan Creators, so click the link above to check out some of his work!

That's it for our Best Movie contest for this year, and as always, we had a lot of fun. A huge thanks to all of you who voted, shared, tweeted, and commented!
