Season four of House of Cards hasn't even started yet, but Netflix has already renewed its hit drama for a fifth season set to released in 2017.
There is only one major switch-up happening, but don't worry—Kevin Spacey isn't going anywhere. However, creator and showrunner Beau Willimon will not be involved with season five.
Netflix has released this statement to thank Willimon for all his work:
“Netflix and MRC owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Beau Willimon for his strong narrative vision for 'House of Cards' over the show’s first four seasons. As an Academy Award nominated writer, he made his first foray into television and built a riveting and critically acclaimed series, establishing his place in TV history. The producers, cast and crew join us in wishing Beau the best in his next creative adventure."
Thank you to Willimon for your contributions towards an incredible television series!
And while season four doesn't become available to Netflix users until March 4, we already know to expect more sass from Frank Underwood in 2017.
